I can't believe we let it get this close to Christmas without starting our yearly Christmas thread!

I basically asked for an iPhone 6s(which I got early because we bought it Black Friday), so basically I'm just expecting some clothes and smaller stuff tomorrow from Santa.

Tonight, we're going to my aunt's house for a smallish family gathering. Tomorrow night we're playing family trivia, which my sister puts together every year. :) Should be a good Christmas.

I didn't really want much this year, basically just a Jamie Vardy England jersey and Finn's jacket from Star Wars. Can't believe it's Christmas already.

Actually didn't make a formal list this year. Most of what I want should be ordered online i.e. Japanese learning materials. It's not like I would get all the stuff I wanted when I made big lists anyway, haha. So I guess I'm getting surprised. I would kinda rather have money to spend, but I already got that for my birthday so it would be unfair.

We used to do Polyanna on Christmas Eve when we went to the aunt's and see our cousins but now we just hang out. Apparently Aunt Rosa wants us to play "family games" this year, that's different lol. After that I may or may not be up until 7:00 AM watching Christmas Story reruns again. Although I have a feeling I'll sleep better this year, I'm not as excited for Christmas day.

I gave separate lists to my parents and my aunt and uncle. Here's what I asked for, combined between the two lists:

-Splatoon
-Super Mario Maker
-Mega Yarn Yoshi amiibo
-Nintendo eShop gift card(s)
-Super Bowl 50 Years book (http://www.superbowl50book.com/)
-Western Michigan shirts/sweatshirts
-Tigers/MLB stuff
-Yoshi's Wooly World
-Exploding Kittens card game: http://shop.theoatmeal.com/products/exp ... imes-goats
-Amazon Gift Card

Whether or not I get any or some of these will be interesting. I'll post what I got when I get them.

I kinda miss the years when I had a list and would get all kinds of stuff - video games, toys, and the worst - clothes, ugh.

Over the years it's become more about giving - parents don't have any money, friends all have kids, so I take the opportunity to try and send everyone something.

I did an Italian gift basket of olive oils and balsamics for my Italian friend
I bought like 10 books and CDs second hand for my guitarist from his amazon wish list of 2000 items
I sent one friend a few hot wheels for his kids and a sewing machine for his wife
Sent another friend Mario Kart 8, since he is in Florida, so we can play together!
Sent a drum mat to my old drummer from his amazon list
Some free trade whole bean coffee to my current drummer, and beer
Tickets to the Book of Mormon to our friends down the street that couldn't afford them
Custom gift baskets to their brother and his spouse that wee every Xmas eve
Cat blankets, candy and a short to my parents
Box of Midnight milky ways to my best friend to keep him sane with all his kids
Gift certificate to my sis and law and her husband to this nice breakfast place
And a bottle of wine for my tennis partner
Bunch of CDs, a book, a wine game, and tickets to a concert and Cirque du Soleil for the wife

Okay I might've bought myself $6 worth of games on steam, too.

I got some good stuff.

-A new record player with speakers
-The Kinks are The Village Green Preservation Society on vinyl.
-Memento on Blu-Ray
-A nice True Detective poster
-Two Saint Joseph's University sweatshirts.
-Two iTunes gift cards from Grandma
-A gift card to my local record store
-A music movie box set from Criterion from my uncle (this was a very pleasant surprise. Includes A Hard Day's Night, Gimme Shelter, Quadrophena and Monterey Pop).

And I also got to spend a lot of time with my family. So a pretty good Christmas now that I look back at it.

Wow. I got a Buster Posey jersey.
My dad went for the white one, but I'm hoping to trade it in for the black alternate.
My life has far too much dust as dirt to own white- (or in this case cream) colored clothes.
Especially expensive ones.
Also got a croc-pot. Yes!
