Ok so life has taken me to question this:
Which high school should I go to?
First I could go to Delsea Regional High School. I don't know what I want to do, but I love to swim and I know every swimmer on the team except one. That's all cool. Anyway they were rated 233rd in public high school education in New Jersey and all my cousins went there and and I don't know. But I like popcorn.
Second I could go to Gloucester County Institute of Technology or GCIT because that is a very long title. They were 85th rated as top education. They have eight programs:
Academy of Allied Health and Medical Science
Academy of Finance and Business Management
Academy of Information Technology/Digital Communications
Academy of Engineering
School of Performing Arts (Dance and Drama)
School of Culinary Arts
School of Transportation Technology
School of Construction Technology
School of Cosmetology
And you have to take one of them and stick to that. However if you go there you could end up having your accosiate's degree, but I don't know what I want to do.
St. Augustine's Prepatory School-is a private all-male Roman Catholic four-year college preparatory school located in the Richland section of Buena Vista Township, in Atlantic County, New Jersey, United States. Located on 118 acres (0.48 km2) of wooded property, it serves students in ninth through twelfth grade from across South Jersey under the auspices of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Camden. They probably have the best education on the list, but I have already blown up the forum about CATHOLICS. PLUS THEY WANT A *(censored)* $20,000 a year which is bull*(censored)*. They have a pretty good swim team, but I don't like the kids there. Also, most kids in my class plan to go there.

This seems like something you should talk over with your parents and/or other people close to you. None of us on the forum know you well enough to really help you. All I can say is to follow your gut, and chances are you'll ultimately be happy with whatever you choose.

This is what you should probably do.

However, since I know you are dying to know, if it were I in your situation, I would choose Delsea Regional High School because public school

Delsea all the way.

You don't want a private, costly high school education. That's weird. It may help you in college and beyond, a bit, but the amount of social awkwardness and cost make it prohibitive. Tax dollars pay for a great education - a public one in the northeast is A-OK, especially compared to the rest of the country.

Plus they have a swim team with guys you like, ensuring some friendships and camraderie during the years you need it most to foster your nature and personality, and have fun. All are more important.

If you definitely knew what you wanted to do, GCIT is good for giving you that head start on a trade...but if you change your mind (and what 14-15 year old knows what they want to do the rest of their life, after all) it can be a huge misdirection/mistake. Trade schools for high school are kind of weird, in my opinion...a general education arms you better for whatever you may want to do - and gives you exposure to many things, not just a focus on one. Make your own focus.

To sum up:
- free of cost
- friends
- freedom of future

all point you to Delsea.

best of luck

as a person who went to private school and thoroughly enjoyed it, I would recommend Delsea Regional as well. If you're going out for the swim team, you might as well be on a team with other people you're comfortable with, and I don't know that the difference in quality of education is big enough to make that much of a difference.

(unless you totally know what you want to do, in which case go the GCIT route, but I doubt you [or any other kids your age] really have a grasp on that yet)

Option 1 sounds good. Swimming is really great exercise.

Option 2 could be cool. I'm skeptical that any high school offering cosmetology is going to be a joke.
I would go for either culinary arts or transportation tech.
It's possible you're going to hate food after going to Chef High School.
I'd rather there were better options.
On the other hand, general educations don't get you ready to do anything in particular at all. And then you go to college and probably get a degree that will have little to nothing to do with your career. So why not learn how to take apart a carburetor? Mechanics and chefs are every bit as useful and important to society as techies and financiers.

Option 3 sounds like a great way to spend four years of your young life dealing with douchebags and their douchey culture. Probably a great place to obtain a drug addiction and learn the true meaning of self hatred.
--bonus: you also have a chance of obtaining "douchebag" ability.

Main thing is that the most important element in your high school education is YOU.

Your focus determines your reality.
