Alright y'all know the drill by now. Welcome to 2018! Here's to a great year for all of us.

Let's be real my resolutions completely bombed and that's okay! I only hit like 3 of my 15 goals but overall I'm pretty happy with my life. A lot of change (both positive and negative) came my way in 2017 and I'm still trying to figure out how to handle some of it but that's okay!! I'm going into the new year in a relationship (for the first time ever yEET) and with some awesome friends by my side! I'm excited about what 2018 has in store for me!

Anyways here are my resolutions for this year:

-- Keep a daily journal of some sort. I'm mainly doing this to keep better tabs on my mental health and my mood as it fluctuates a lot day-to-day, but I'm also gonna be keeping track of some other key areas such as my sleep habits and my eating habits.
-- Listen to at least 50 new albums. These don't have to be 2018 releases strictly, just any album I have not listened to in full. Last year I think I hit about 40 so this isn't a hugely ambitious goal but it's still something I'd like to do.
-- Read at least 10 books for fun. I, uh, only read 3 books all of 2017, for fun or otherwise. (I did read a lot of flash fiction and poetry, mostly for classes, though.) I've found that reading a wide range of stories, poems, books, etc. has helped improve my writing but I'd like to get back into some longer-form stuff this year!
-- Keep my GPA above a 3.0 cumulative. (Applies only post-spring semester, but I'd like to keep it above 3.0 for good.) I need to do this to keep my scholarship. I'm currently at a 2.8 and I need a 3.66 this semester to achieve that.
-- Be gay. I mean I gotta give myself an easy one right?

Yeah. Let's do this y'all.

Sound off in the comments below !!

Well, I've made no resolutions the past 3 years because I know I won't keep them, but this year I'm giving myself a simple one:

Keep a to-do list.

Or really keep a few lists: things I need to do today/this week, things I need to do long-term, and things that I want to do at some point. That way when I'm bored and want to scroll through twitter, I can look at one of the lists and accomplish something instead. I'm literally the most disorganized person I know, and this is really a baby step, but maybe if I can keep track of my life for long enough I can start to organize myself more and more.

2018 is going to be a critical year for me. My goals for this year are:
-Score a 28+ on the ACT (I've done excellent on the English section of my practice tests so far, but the math section is bringing my grade down. I've bought some review books so hopefully I can get that score up)
-Decide on a college. (I haven't really been excited by any universities so far, but I am currently looking into Ohio State, Indiana, Iowa, Wisconsin, and Western Michigan)
-Go to Prom (I hate to admit this, but I've never been to a high school dance before. I've always had a hard time finding groups to go with. Hopefully, I can find one this time around. I'd love to go with the girl I like, but we don't really know each other well.)
-Start Lifting (I got a workout bench for Christmas, going to set it up soon.)

That's about all I can think of. I hope I can accomplish these goals.

For prom, if you don't get to go with the girl you like, going stag is always an option. I had a few friends do that when I went to prom, so it's something to consider as well. There's no shame in doing that.

If you're ever in the area, let me know and I'd be happy to show you around!! (Also what are you planning on studying?)

Good luck with everything btw! The ACT honestly wasn't that bad imo, and you can always go alone or with a friend(s) to prom it's really not a big deal

My goals last year

-Weigh 190 lbs by the end of the year (I'm currently about 165) - Um, sorta complete? I've maxed at 188, so I think it counts.
-Go to and play at a D1 school - My biggest goal, and the one I wanted to complete most, and I did.
-Throw a perfect game[/color[ - I'd say I kinda completed it, because I threw 3 no-hitters, but no perfect games sadly.
-Bat .500 - Not even close, I batted .344 I believe.
-Make this girl who I like my girlfriend - I didn't, but I found out she was kinda a bitch anyway. We went on one date and I didn't really feel the chemistry after talking forever.
-Just be a better overall person - Um, sure, maybe?

Goals for 2018
-Weigh at least 205 lbs. by the end of the year
-Be in the starting rotation by the end of the 2018 season
-Keep my ERA below 4.00
-Get a 4.0 next semester
-Maybe get a girlfriend, idk
