Post subject:  Mario Super Sluggers
Looks like Mario and his gang are going to encroach on the sport of baseball next. I wonder how it will compare.

You never played the Gamecube one? That's one of the first Gamecube games I bought for the Wii.

It will most likely have the same flaws - horrible running/fielding AI, but otherwise pretty fun.

I can't remember the Mario baseball game I played, perhaps it was on N64? Or maybe that was Golf or Tennis... I'm not sure. Either way it looks pretty bright and cheery, though definitely won't be as deep as PP

I remember playing one on the GC.
It was fun, but nowhere near realistic. There were magic powerups and stuff like that. Some guys (DK) didn't even swing with bats. The mini-games weren't really baseball. There was HR derby, and then something where you through pitches through walls.

The magic power things were fun. Donkey Kong even uses a boxing glove in soccer.

Be funny if they actually had enough players for a mini league mode or something (mini season). Or if on the challenge mode you could use the different colored players even after you replaced them (use colors for mini league/season too).
