Lmao I'm kidding, I doubt most college teams even have a lefty specialist, and hopefully you'll get a shot in the starting role! That'd be awesome!

Been wanting to do this for a while, here is how my Junior year of High School has gone:

Zero Hour: Newspaper- I plan to major in journalism, so I feel a necessity to take this class. It frustrates me that this class is not a normal elective and has to be taken before school. Getting up early every Wednesday can be draining.
P1: Advanced Algebra-Extremely easy. Basically a review of what I learned in Freshman year so far. I heard it gets more difficult next semester, but we'll see. 4 out of 5.

P2: AP US Government and Politics-Definitely my favorite class. Same teacher as my AP US History class last year, which is cool. Lots of quizzes and tests, but the discussions in class are extremely engaging and interesting. Gives a perspective on the current state of affairs. I was also selected to attend a state senate special committee for issues involving teenagers, which I am really looking forward to. 5 out of 5.

P3: Gym-Actually pretty fun, a lot of moving around. We had a football unit, which was really fun. Our next unit is ballroom dance, which is... intriguing, considering the fact that the girl I like is in the class as well. I hope I don't embarrass myself completely... 3 out of 5.

P4: Honors American Literature-After my difficult Honors English course last year, I considered dropping down to regular English. Boy, I am I glad I stayed in honors. Class is so much easier, yet I still feel as if I have made considerable improvements in writing essays. Teacher is also a big sports fan, so we've had a few conversations about baseball. This makes things feel a little more casual, which relieves some stress. A lot of homework, though. 4 out of 5.

P5: Physics-Somewhat hard, but the teacher hands out numerous extra credit points and curves tests. We also perform experiments and such, which is preferable to constant lectures. 3.5 out of 5.

P6: Study Hall-Great way to relax and work on homework. I prefer having it in the morning as you can study for tests later in the day, but I am extremely glad I have one. 4 out of 5.

P7: Religion-Boring, but probably the easiest class I have ever taken (not complaining of course). We are literally given every single test question and answer beforehand. I find myself often annoyed in the class as it is filled with popular kids who try to impress girls by being obnoxious. 3 out of 5.

P8: Spanish IV: Fairly easy class, teacher isn't very strict about homework. Tests are hard, but homework and extra credit make up for it. The class is often off-topic due to my teacher often rambling about certain things. This can make it hard to focus. I am not sure I am going to to take Spanish next year, due to the fact that most people take this class senior year. I am not sure if I can find a replacement elective, however. 3 out of 5.

Activity Period: Student Government/Scholastic Bowl- Scholastic Bowl is really fun, and I'm actually good at it. If you don't know what it is, it's basically a team Jeopardy competition, except the questions are randomly chosen by the moderators instead of directly chosen by students. I am on the varsity team this year, which is exciting due to the fact that we have the same exact team as we had my freshman year, where we finished with a 6-3 record, good enough for 3rd place overall. We have a chance to go to a state tournament this year, which definitely adds intrigue. Student government is boring as we don't really do anything. Our suggestions are consistently turned down by administration. I'm a class officer, which is a beneficial résumé tool, I guess. I don't think I will run for class president again next year, as the elections ultimately boil down to popularity contests.

Ultimately, this school year has gotten off to a much better start than last year. None of my classes received a grade lower than a 3/5, compared to three last year. I also think I have become more social over the years, but I still feel a sense of isolation and inability to fit in. I think if I went to school with my best friends from grade school, I would have a much better high school experience. My biggest problem has been the inability to find a group to fit in with. My friends currently are "scattered". By scattered, I mean that I only usually talk to one of them at a time. This is probably due to separated lunch periods. This becomes extremely clear around school dances. I still haven't attended one as a result of a lack of a group to go with. Prom is this year, and I really want to be able to attend. I've been trying to get to know the girl I like a bit more, but haven't had much success so far. On a more positive note, I achieved straight-A's for the first time in my school career, which is enormous, especially since I am applying to colleges next year. I hope I can keep it rolling through the entire year. Sorry for going on too long, I had nothing to do at study hall.

English major seems like a better choice for you. Your short stories on here are very well-written. Hope it goes better!

School isn't too bad. Keeping busy with work, studies, and baseball, but I have enough free time to not go insane. I'm taking:

German I: I really don't like this class. I'm not fond of learning new languages and especially not in a classroom setting. The writing assignments are tedious. The professor is pretty cool, but he always lets us out late.

Personal Finance: This class is great, and I'm taking it as a pure elective. Easy A, really cool professor.

Differential Equations: Basically a capstone calculus course. It's not hard because it doesn't deviate too much from previous classes. I got a 79% on the first test, but I've aced all the quizzes, so we'll see what I got on the second exam which we took on Friday. It should be over 90, which would bring me back up to A- territory.

History of Economic Thought: Love economics, hate history. Worst course in the economics major. Professor is tough. Writing intensive (i.e. essays and written tests) I just hope to get a B and get out.

After this semester, I only need to take three courses per semester to graduate with a double major in math and economics (and I only need to take three because I need to be a full-time student to keep my scholarship and play baseball) which will be really nice. I think from this point forward school will only get easier, and I still think that the first semester of my sophomore year was my hardest workload by far.
