Midterms aren't until January, but...

Business Law (91.1%) - Odd subjective grades have brought me down quite a bit despite this class being easy as hell.
AP Calculus AB (86.6%) - I should be studying for this right now.
World History (96.3%) - Going from an AP history to regular has been wonderful.
AP Chemistry (95.5%) - Most of the material was a review of Chem 1, so this has been easy so far.
Physics (95.4%) - Also known as "Plug these numbers in"
AP Lang & Comp (91.9%) - No idea how this is still an A-... it would probably be around an 88% if it weren't for all the vocab quizzes.

Got a 72 on my AP history exam. Not that it really matters, since I was gonna get a B this quarter no matter what. I got a 100 on both English exams, because it was incredibly easy. We had two chances on each reading question, and could take the vocabulary portion as many times as we wanted. Spanish was okay, I guess. Under normal circumstances, I probably would have gotten a 30-40 ish. However, under her grading scale, and the fact that she's oblivious to us all copying off each other, I surely got a good enough to keep an A this quarter. Science could have been worse. Odds are I got a low B, but I don't really care, because I probably still ended up with a good grade. Gym and Culinary exams are laughable. All I have left is Pre-Calc, which I've been told is pretty easy. I'll probably end up with 5 A's this quarters, but I could have as many as 6, or as few as 2 (which is incredibly doubtful, but still possible).

UPDATE!

My final grades are more or less posted, since all my exams have been graded already

AP World History: B (84.07) This class went okay. The tests could have gone better, for example, I got a 20 on one of them. But most of the regular classwork and quizzes are pretty easy, and he usually gives us 15 minutes of free time at the end of every day.

English II Honors: B (82.16) Okay, I shouldn't really have an 82. There are still two more assignments she still has to enter for me because I was gone last Wednesday. However, unless I get 100's on both (which is possible, but unlikely), I'll still end up with a high B this quarter. At least I'll get an A for the semester, which is what really matters.

Spanish III: A (93.86) This class blows! I don't know any Spanish, and neither does anyone else. She thinks she's a good teacher, but she has absolutely no idea what she's doing. If it wasn't for her extremely gracious grading scale, and the fact that she's oblivious to us all copying off of each other, I probably would have failed.

Team Sports II: A (91.74) I have absolutely no idea how I didn't get a 100. I apparently got a C on 'Weight Room Participation', despite the fact that I have idea what the *(censored)* that is. I didn't expect to like the class, considering that my only friend switched out, but I made a few during the first few weeks, which made everything much more bearable

Culinary II: A (94.97) This class is a piece of cake (heh, food puns, heh ). We take open book tests, and get an automatic 100 for the exam. We just kinda do whatever we want for the rest of the time, which means talking instead of cooking.

Pre-Calculus: A (91.28) Math is my best subject, so anything less than an A would have been a disappointment. Everyone is the class falls into one or two categories. Either they get A's and B's on everything, or they get D's and F's. You hardly see someone get a 60 on one test, and then a 95 on the next.

Chemistry Honors: A (93.18) This class is so easy, but has so much homework that I don't do. It doesn't really matter though, because I can just get the answers at a later time, and turn it in whenever I want. Which is weird, because people are usually asking me for the answers in this class.

So, I guess that makes a 4.285714285714286... weighted GPA for the semester. Man, I'm feeling really good for college! If I can keep this up next semester, I'll have confidence going into my junior year with 5? AP classes.

How did you calculate that GPA?

Post subject:  Re: How is school?

History: 4 points
English: 4.5 points
Spanish: 4.5 points
Gym: 4 points
Culinary: 4 points
Math: 4.5 points
Science: 4.5 points

Add that all together, you get 30. Divide by 7, and you get 4.285

Out now until the 2nd of January.

But seriously forcing us to go back to school the day after a holiday is a hate crime against all children.

Ouch, man, that sucks...back when I was in school, we always returned to school the Monday after New Year's. You're right, that's bad.

I guess they had to squeeze the days in there somewhere.

My school did that two years ago. Needless to say no one was happy that day. (Rhyming accidentally  )

My GPA after one semester of college is 3.75 (my only B was a 88.7% dammit >_>)

Considering that I was hovering anywhere from 2.6 to 2.8 in high school (DAMN YOU, LACK OF WORK ETHIC!), I'm pretty damn happy about that. I'M TURNIN' THINGS AROUND~

*just felt like sharing that, because this seriously means a lot to me that I'm taking advantage of this clean slate... then again, when my schedule includes FUndamentals of Speech and Caribbean Music, it ain't hard XD*

I don't have to go back to school until the 6th, and I'm going to Florida with my family from the 26th to the 4th or 5th. Looking forward to that.

Have fun, man! I went to Florida (Miami, specifically) last year to go to a Marlins game and check out Key West, and it was great. The worst part is the Florida Turnpike, IMO, since it's so...FLAT. Have fun, though!

Thanks! We're going to Windermere, which is right by Orlando. Not really sure what we're doing once we get there, but whatever it is will be better than sitting around up here. Only thing I'm not looking forward to is the 20 hour drive, but I'll at least have the new Phoenix Wright game to pass the time.
