lol @ Paul

turns out Memrise has a lot more than just languages, so that's definitely gonna come in handy. I'm working on both the Spanish 4 and Japanese 1 courses at the moment (in addition to Duolingo's Spanish course) :)

So UCF basically has a class about fantasy football. I'm really tempted to take it, but it messes up with what I'm trying to do with my schedule :/

Another post about college classes, considering my orientation is this week.

I might be taking a class that technically has 1500 kids. No, that's not an exaggeration.

I'm not convinced Brewers has even seen 1500 people in his life.

I have 2 classes that will have >200 people, not big, but certainly not small. Defintiely a step up from small-ass Community College classes.

But 1500? Holy shee-it. I'm with Agent, all my classes don't even add up to 600, let alone 1500!

It's a "live lecture" course, which means that he's not actually up there teaching. It's either a pre-recorded video, or a Skype kind of thing where he just broadcasts from somewhere else.

That also means that the lectures are all online, so I'm assuming most people don't show up unless there's an exam

So it's not technically an online course, but for the most part I suppose it sort of is

oh ok I figured it was something like that

let's see, mine are

Econ - 300
Spanish - 24
Math - 80
Intro to Kinesiology - 245 (combo online/in person)
Intro to Sport Mgmt. - 250

so that's 899 total if they completely fill

Lol wtf 1500 person class. Is that the whole course or just a single class? I don't think I've ever seen a classroom built for more than 300 people. How will they do exams?

The biggest class I've ever had had about 32 people. That was in high school.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I honestly don't think the classroom is meant for more than 300 people either, so I guess they expect most people to stream the lecture from home. As for exams, you might be given different dates to come take it. Honestly not really sure.

At orientation today, the group leader I had mentioned he had the class last year (it's microeconomics BTW, and the number he mentioned was 1100 students). I wanted to ask him about it and how it worked, but he mentioned the class as an off-hand comment to show just how big the school is, and I didn't wanna bring it even more off-topic
