Senior year was awesome for me, especially 2nd semester because I kinda took some easy classes to avoid homework. Worked out great, I had evenings completely free most of the week which was awesome after APUSH and Advanced Math my Junior year.

However, I'm honestly dreading going to college. :?

Just got moved in to my new apartment. Gonna be weird for at least the next year. It's already feeling weird on the first day.

Well, it's not quite solo living; I'm sharing it with 3 other roommates who I've never met before. Gonna be weird for the next year or so.

Yep. First time. I'm almost shaking right now because my mind's like "this is not home, this is a strange place, who are these people, where are my parents oh god oh god oh god".

heh, that's pretty much how I felt the first couple of days too. But, and I'm being honest here, within a couple of weeks, I would say my 3 roommates became my closest friends.

Living with other people just by default makes you really close to them. Hopefully they're good roommates and not smelly/meanies, and you'll make some new lifelong friends

Yeah, they seem to be good roommates, 2 of them worked as cooks at a restaurant for several months, so I should be OK. I hope.

Only real problem with them is that they smoke weed, but I'm usually in my room, and they said they'll keep it to a minimum in one of the other rooms. So both parties are happy.

Thanks tweav, yeah I think that is partially it. Coming from a school of 80 and joining a school of 10,000+, as well as the largest Freshman class this school has had since 1960 is quite a culture shock. It'll be interesting for sure.

I'm just thankful that I picked a school close to home and in a city I already know fairly well. Plus 2 of my siblings will be within a 30 minute drive so I'll have them close too.

@dish: I find that hilarious honestly. I'm assuming they're all that you could find looking for a place with cheap rent?

oh dope, going to college close to home helps with the transition a lot. Having the option to go home whenever you want is always nice

plus the option to have laundry done for you and meals cooked for you when you get back home... very nice

Best of luck to you big boyos

Everyone's growin up c':

Well, that's what the roommate matching people gave me, at least, lol. But yeah, I've already been told that the last roommate one of the guys had was a complete asshole (he's been in the apartment for the last year, I have the same room that said asshole had, so we share a bathroom), so I don't have too high of a bar to climb over.

Are they going to get harder once things settle in or are they just that easy?
