New stadium for the Atlanta Braves will be built about 2 miles from where I live now. I'm not sure if this is a good thing or a bad thing.

Multiple reasons I believe:

    Poor parking and access to the stadium (it's in the heart of Atlanta traffic)
    Stadium was originally built for the 1996 Olympics and was not intended for long-term use
    Stadium is not owned by the Braves
    The Braves' lease on the stadium expires in 2017

All valid reasons, though I am not sure how this city is going to stomach a new baseball stadium AND a new football field costs over the next 3-5 years

Turner is also a pretty boring looking ballpark in my opinion. So hopefully they build a nice stadium.

I've heard that PNC in Pittsburgh is the prettiest-looking ballpark. And I'm not being biased about it, the sightlines are stunning. Hoping to go there for a game someday.
