O's picked up Grant Strikethree for two years at $14,000,000 and the yanks signed brian "always injured" roberts.

I like the deal for the O's. Gives them a solid closer at 7.5M a year (a bit expensive, yes, but compared to the other deals to closers, it's a bargain).

Speaking of the Yanks, they also signed LHP Matt Thornton to a 2-year, 7M contract. I'm friends with his younger cousin, and when I told her, she was kinda meh about it, saying that she isn't a Yankee fan.
