I think it might be good a idea for DarkShade to get some MLB Power Pros ads on this website. |

I would prefer to keep this relatively as ad-free as poss, though I use Firefox + Adblock+ to dump most ads if you must of course, google ads is a start. There are also php codes to add ads in between forum posts (eww!) A paypal donate link is always okay with me (I may even toss a few bux in ). Def. should be a wiki link. |

Any ideas on what the money would be used for? Improving site somehow? Or maybe charity? Adsense can pay by impressions, so with so many people visiting this site a day, a decent amount should be made in a year. |

I may setup a Paypal donation link if anyone wants to donate to the operations of the site (all money would go into the site, I wouldn't take any for myself) In-between thread ads annoy me too, I'll avoid that. I also use Firefox and I use my hosts file to remove ads so I wouldn't see half of what's going on anyway I was thinking if I could get some ads to purchase MLB Power Pros on Amazon or other vendor sites, that wouldn't be bad |

I signed up for Google Adsense, so all ads on this site will pertain to what we talk about, like buying MLB Power Pros from a reputable retailer or Wii/PS2 accessories. I'll try to make the ads as invisible as possible so they don't deter from the forum. Here's the general layout of a forum, the colored boxes are potential places the ads will go. I think I'll go with the light-yellow box on the right as our ad placement. |

Alright, for those who have a bit more options to support this site. Donations via PAYPAL can be made here. This is DS's paypal account (not mine, as it's not my website ), so fill 'er up! |

In all seriousness, if he wants to take donations he needs to think about setting up a separate account specifically for it. Once you start taking money, you're in effect operating a business, and you have to report income and all that good stuff to the IRS. Intermingling business and personal income can create a big headache for yourself down the road. |

I doubt I would rake in enough money to warrant needing a business account, but thanks for the concern. If I do start taking in a lot of donations then I'll take appropriate measures to make sure the site and I'm personally protected. |
