Wow what a buzzkill

Xander went to sleep, and woke up just in time to get to school. It was a boring day, but it was a Friday, and that meant another Intra-Squad game. Today Xander led off in CF on a team that predominately consisted of Freshmen. The pitcher was a Senior who had some heat. The first pitch went near Xander's head faster than anything Xander had seen before. He took the next pitch, a curveball, low for ball two.

Xander, what do you do?

A. Protect yourself from getting hit
B. Worry about getting hit the entire at bat
C. Look for a walk
D. Swing away

Xander was frightened about getting beaned that he took a perfect strike down the middle. With the count 2-1, Xander was drilled in the knee on the next pitch. He was more fortunate than the next batter, who was beaned in the back. The Senior revealed to the coach that he had no pitching experience after the hit by pitch, but the coach let him continue anyway.

The next batter was hit in the foot. This prompted an all-out, older kids vs younger kids brawl. Xander watched as Thomas, who initiated this brawl by yelling at the Senior, get picked up and subsequently pummeled by the pitcher. A group of Freshmen tried to protect Thomas, but they were getting punched as well. The coach frantically tried to stop the brawl, but it was clear he could not do it on his own. He saw Xander, still standing on third base, and told him to run to school and get security.

Xander, what do you do?

A. Run to school to get security
B. Go help your friends in the brawl
C. Run into the fight, eyes closed, arms swinging
D. Run away crying

Xander went and got school security. They shot Thomas because he was black They ended the brawl quickly. Some kids were suspended from the team, although none were banned from school.

It was Friday night, and Xander had nothing to do. What do you do, Xander?

A. Play MLB Power Pros 2008
B. Hit the town
C. Hit the whip
D. Cry

LOCAL BOY DIES

Xander Close, a Freshman at a local high school, was pronounced dead at a hospital today. Xander's cause of death is reported to be an "excessive dancing of a horrible dance". According to his parents, Xander locked himself in his room and danced "The Whip" for two straight days over the weekend, before being rushed to the hospital on Monday morning. His last wish was that he could join the MLB Power Pros forum. However, after reading that RANGERSMVP11 had retired from the forum, he cried for a minute and then passed peacefully.

Xander chose not to whip all weekend, and instead practice by himself at the park. He rigged up a pitching machine that threw fast, and Xander only hit a few of them. He crushed one foul, that nearly hit a girl by the left field foul pole. Xander went to retrieve the ball and make sure the girl was okay. "You play baseball, right?" the girl asked Xander. "Umm, yeah" was all Xander could mutter.
"You go to Local High School too, right.... Xander?"
"That's me."
"I'm Natalie, nice to meet you."
"Same.."
"I see you're playing all by yourself. Do you want me to throw some to you?"
"Uhh...."

Xander, what do you say?

A. "Yes, please"
B. "No, thanks"
C. "Umm..."
D. Nothing, and run away

They practiced for a while until Natalie had to go. "Keep practicing," she told Xander.

Xander, What do you do?

B. Ask for her number
C. Ask where the bus stop is

He ran with the number written on one of the practice balls all the way back home, where he grabbed his phone, and texted the number. After no response in two minutes, he called the number. "Hello, Sal's Pizza

JUST KIDDING

He asked for her number, and Natalie it to him. Xander whipped all the way home. And died. The end

He got her number and ran home. The next day, there was another intra-squad game. This is the third game of four. Xander stood in to pinch-hit in the last inning, with his team up by 2. The pitcher, a fellow Freshman, threw accurately, but with no speed. The first pitch sailed down the middle for strike one.

Xander, what do you do?

A. Swing for the fences
B. CRUSH THE BALL
C. Try to go the opposite way
D. Lean into it
