Is there any way to make the "Foe" thing go deeper, like not being able to see that they made a post anywhere?

I think he means the 'Manage Friends and Foes' section of your User Control Panel... I can only imagine this being in response to Dr Mario's lengthy Gyroball witch hunt?

Did I guess right?

Surprisingly no. I'm not going any farther as I don't want to offend anyone else.

Most forums do have an "ignore user" button to click on under either a users posts, or in their profile page, but I havent looked on this forum, since I dont use that feature. It sure would filter out some of the spammy nonsense posters though... might be handy come to think of it.

Well, he description of the feature says: Foes are users which will be ignored by default. Posts by these users will not be fully visible. Personal messages from foes are still permitted. Please note that you cannot ignore moderators or administrators.

I haven't messed with it, though I'd expect you'd just see that a 'foe' replied in a thread without actually seeing the text of the post.

If you feel like a particular user is out of line with something they're doing (spamming threads, personal attacks, too many PMs, repeatedly off-topic, etc.) then definitely feel free to use the "report this post" feature or PM a mod/admin. We won't divulge who reported them when we're giving someone the smack down :)

I once did that on another forum because this one person had this incredibly annoying flashing advater and her post didn't have that much content. I couldn't stand looking at it.
