I think to bring this site back to life we should teach everyone how to play the japanese verions of the new power pros games. I can teach you all how! This works for both wii and PS2 no modding is required. If this is allowed or you want me to show you vote yes!

yes!!! that's a great idea!! it seems certain that we will not have an american version of mlbpp09 and importing the game and learning some/alot of Japanese is our only option. i know there are bunch of people here like goodways, chee2424, and alanwong43 that could help with the teaching. goodways has even confirmed that online mode works here in the states. wow, i can actually get excited about power pros 09 again 8)

Yeah, how would we import the games?

Ok I actually just found an easier way! Buy this http://us.codejunkies.com/Products/Wii- ... 00593.aspx which is $20 you can buy it online or at a local video game retailer. The games you can buy here online http://www.play-asia.com/ I'm sure there are more places to get imported games but that is where I buy mine.

Instructions:

1. Insert the codejunkies freeloader disc
2. You will be prompted to insert a imported game
3. Remove the free loader disc and insert your imported game
4. Enjoy!

Also if you search there are many english guides to these games. Therefore you do not need to speak Japanese.

Nintendo killed usage of the freeloader to be permited with the firmwear update 3.3, so if you have version 3.3 or up you can't use it (I'm 90% sure that this is true). Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but what was the other way?

That is true... There is a new other way but it is a program you have to burn to a disc and it is a long grueling process. The new program has not been released yet so I will keep you all posted. I'll probably upload a data file that you can all burn to a disk and it will work like a modchip but it will be a disc. Again I'll keep you posted but for now anyone who has the old firmware do the first thing.

Update: There is a way to downgrade the firmware (easier way) if any is willing if I get enough people that want to do that I'll put it up.
