Post subject:  How To Make The Forum A Better Place

Because of the events of tonight, I want to do this, so that everyone can have a say in how the forum should be run.

Basically, I would like suggestions on how we can "class up" the forum, like dtigers suggested. How can we have a fun time here on this website without having arguments almost every two weeks? I'll admit I haven't done the best job as a community manager in preventing these arguments from happening in the first place, so suggestions on that will be helpful as well.

Also, if arguments like the ones in the chat tonight start here, I will delete those posts as soon as possible.

So, tell me this: how can this forum's atmosphere be improved for the better?

I like the forum atmosphere. Arguments are drama. Dram is fun. Drama is interesting. Drama is love. Shrek is life.

Playing the game again instead of trying to get at each other's throats

I agree with BrewersFuzz, the arguments are exciting. We just need to mutually understand that if there's a serious argument, it should be moved to private chat/PMs, and otherwise that we are all joking. Other than that, I would recommend requiring a remedial English course before new members can join. I'm kidding about that, but we should at least try to competently speak English. In addition, outside of RPGs (where the answer is usually a single letter or phrase), the 15 character limit should be enforced better. It was put in so people would actually talk instead of just saying "Yeah" and "OK", but now instead of real conversation, people are just typing garbage to get through the rules.

How do you think I/we should go about enforcing the 15-character minimum? Delete posts that have said garbage in it, and notify them of it? That's what I'm thinking off the top of my head.

Yeah, that's a good idea. The RPG type stuff, don't enforce on those, but otherwise, that sounds good

Check the chat archive. PP27, myself, Skittles, and Brewers were involved in an argument that escalated way out of hand.

I wasn't saying you were arguing, just that you were posting on-topic during the incident at hand

I really love these forums, but the fact that they crash everyday is really annoying. I think we also need a couple new members to join, because not many have joined in the past few months.

Sorry for the double post, but I think having a few more logs would be a great thing for the site.

What would that do? I'm not really sure that would make a difference
