Henlo Me and jag have been working for days on an exciting new project that we have given the name of : Working Title . We will be going team by team and updating/creating new formulas for abilities and creating updated roster information for all 30 teams, based on current rosters at the end of the 2017 season. (With possible updates to come at the beginning of the 2018 season based on offseason trades, free agency, etc.) This thread will just be used for general information about the project; formulas and such can be found here: http://www.mlbppworld.com/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=10750 Thank's |

Hi everyone. I know I've been off for a while. But I've been working on a editor for the game. Besides a few bugs that need ironing out I was wondering if someone can send me a default Wii game save and another save with an edit made to Roy Halladay. If you can change his first name to Andrew then also send me that save too. I'm trying to see if it uses the same checksum calculation. Any help would be great if you could pm me and I'll give you my email thanks. Hope everyone is doing well. |

I have all the hex code for 2009 too if you would like to see that. Oh I'm pretty sure checksum is CRC, but not 100 percent sure |

robhallett wrote: That would be awesome if you could do that but primarily for 2008 ok so I have these. But I will probably do this one first with the 2009 base files. https://drive.google.com/folderview?id= ... sp=sharing this is in my google drive. It's the whole 2009 files. They're all openable in a hex editor, but I don't know if you can figure it out. Anyway so for 2008 I will do: Default Changing Roy Halladay's name Changing Roy Halladay's control by 1 Changing Roy Halladay's stamina by 1 Changing Roy Halladay's top Spd by 1 |

Ok so I've looked at all the files. There is alot of similarities between the PS2 and Wii versions. The checksums are different. However, what I have found, is if you change the date of birth of a player on the iso of the game (the PROJECT.BIN file) (I use PS2 loader) pack it back into the iso with Apache and load it up the player can be saved to the memory card either by editing him in the game then or putting him on an arrange team, and that saved roster becomes interchangeable with other users, even if their MLB power pros 2008 games are the real copy. This method is how alot of those doing roster edits for MVP 2005 on PS2 do their roster edits. The only thing is the PS2 and Wii versions are not compatible with each other in their data interpretations. However, I can decipher what it is as the layout generally is the same as the PS2 file set out. |

So, that basically means that it's possible to edit the game (at least on an emulator) in the same vein as what the MVP 05 community has done? |

Roster update the Wii community could share. Essentially with the dolphin emulator, there have been edits made to many games using a debugger I believe (I've never used the emulator itself) but primarily the emulator and debugger give addresses etc of where uniform files etc are held thus opening the door for editing. One such example is the "Hex on Steroids" NBA street edit that Jaosming worked on, its on youtube, but they have edited uniforms, players etc within that game using the emulator and hex edits. |
