Tim Lincecum's delivery, if it hasn't already been mentioned.
Joba Chamberlain with the fist pump.
Manny Ramirez, but stands around for home runs.

Definitely Lincecum's windup.

Follow throughs aren't really in the game. The swing just stops at a certain point. If there were follow throughs, it would be awesome and you'd get the full feeling of annoyance when Manny watches his late inning bomb. I might throw my controller if they did have that so maybe it's better they don't.

Joba and the fist pump. every pitcher pumps his fist if he strikes out the last batter and his team's ahead. Maybe they should make Joba do it after every out no matter what.

That reminds me........Lima Time!

Yes, but of the players playing right now, Joba has the most elaborate one. Maybe they could show him literally jumping up as he fist pumps like he will when he has a big out/its a big game. He's definetly my favorite rookie and quickly becoming one of my all-time favorite players. He and Mariano are almost always untouchable.

Didn't Chris Sabo have an interesting swing too if I remember right? I'd toss in Andre Dawson too.

As for the fist pumping and standing around looking at fly balls, I'd like to see a Carlton Fisk cut scene that has the ball traveling down the line and the player trying wave it fair.

Now that would be sweet! What about a Bo Jackson bat break over the knee? Probably a little too dated... they had it in Ken Griffey for the SNES; guys would sometimes break their bats or turn around and yell at the ump. Great baseball series.

As for Sabo, didn't he spread his legs out really wide? I can't picture it in my head, I'll have to look him up.

There's a lot of cool player mannerisms and stances they could incorporate, both current and old. Some off the top of my head -

* Bret Boone's bat flip
* Jeffrey Leonard's "one flap down" home run trot
* Willie McGee's batting stance
* Joba Chamberlain's over the top first pump (already mentioned but I agree)
* Gene Garber's pitching motion (submarine with a twisting motion, very cool!)
* For that matter, add Kent Tekulve's and Dan Quisenberry's submarine motions
* Stan Musial's corkscrew back to the pitcher batting style
* Keith Hernandez's batting style
* Joe Morgan's arm flapping batting style
* Rod Carew's hunched over barrel of the bat lower than the handle batting style
* Reggie Jackson's and Pete Rose's mashing the helmet down on the head stepping in the box
* Carlton Fisk style waving a down the line homer fair (alternate animation to the current stand and watch)

Sosa can do his little chicken dance too!

Funny though, the first thing that came to mind was Andruw Jones falling down rounding first base on his homer...

Edit: found YouTube video :D

Oooohhhhkayyyyyy..... I think if I even tried that I'd tear my rotator cuff....

Poor bastard gets a called strike for at a pitch clearly outside the zone... umpire is clearly blind. :evil:

That makes me think that Power Pros needs to add the eephus pitch to the game. It still gets thrown from time to time, and upgrading that pitch would be fun for some.

Ah yes, I've already tarted about this in another thread.... oh yeah... here.

Basically, from what we've learned from the Original Pitch setup... you would need to have the pitch start at -30 start speed, and a 0 life (lose tons of speed as it approaches the plate). A huge vertical break is nice...just to make sure it hits dirt and the batter isn't going to golf it out on a bounce on Powerful.

Valverde screaming needs to be added.

Exactly what I was about to say. Plus it needs Valverde's motion/delivery. So long as they include that, I'm happy.

They should put Moises Alou's stance in. He's got that crouch at the knees, and the hands in. Perfect for contact hitting, with the occasional home run. The only problem is the lack of knees in the game.

They need to add options for a switch pitcher.

I hope they add Mike Mussina and Gavin Floyd.
