He really needs to learn pronunciations of players' names. That bugged me the most.

WHAT THE HELL IS JACK MERUZZI DOING THERE?
I guess he wasn't that bad, it was mainly the script. I pray to god that they make the script better!

How he could get so excited about a routine groundball out is beyond me. I'd rather they had a Joe Schmoe do it.

JS: Uh, there is um, a um, groundball to second, and um, the runner is, um, out at, uh, first.

I guess I'm rather indifferent to him - I turned him off

In general I tend to play sports games to the point where the commentary irritates me enough to turn it off. I've just never played any sports game where the commentary wasn't annoying to me after about a dozen games - either through redundancy or through being just plain bad.

Good to see some screens though!

The odd-looking screens with training menus (ones with "PowerPros" playing for the Red Sox) are probably for My Life mode, where you can play through a player's entire career.

Looking at the pics finally and must say:

Pic 1. Cool pic of the Success Mode layout. I like this format better than 2007.
Pic 50. Suburban Field is back. Wonder what else there is, and if this is something you will have to buy again.
Pic 60. Nice house!
Pic 99. The Juice Box!!!

I like the looks of it, though it seems that alot of it was cut and pasted from 2007. I am excited and look forward to buying this game.

I HAVE to party the day that comes out. Or the week after that comes out as I'llbe busy playing it for a while.

oh gawd, Merluzzi is back....I got really, REALLY irked when he said Polanco's and Ordonez's last names wrong...But with Brandon Inge's last name that was funny (next up, Brandon In-gy) but all aside I just hope they improve the way he annouces the games because I could've done a better play-by-play then that douche.

I turn him off, and my game lags making it he says things 1-2 seconds late and I get to the point of turning him off around the top of the 3rd.

But all aside, 2008 PP is beginning to look REAL good and fine! :D

The PA guy rocks!
You know there should be stadium music and stuff....like take me out to the ball game playing during the 7th, and during pressure situations,
drums/horns/clapping/jeers/boos/etc.

While that would be cool personally i would like to have walk-up music as well

But then again they might be only able to have a couple and just split them into genres

In the JP games, you can create your own cheer songs. That's the coolest thing they don't have in the US version.

My favorite thing about the World Baseball Classic is getting to see the fans from the different countries in action. Lots of cheering, drums, noise makers, utter bedlam. It's awesome. The one thing that's really lacking in American Baseball.

What has most of my intrest is the career mode to go along with success. It will be intresting to see how playing chess or golf will effect you player; maybe chess will cause abilities to move up faster being smarter and golf will work with swing or catching a movie with effect movatvation. What wiil be the point in buying a car or bigger house?
I hope this career mode works because EA tried it with Madden and it was a waste of time. It is also a nice idea to be able to use a player already in the game; I'm a Jays fan so taking over Adam Lind (who seems to get shafted alot) or Brandon League and getting them to their full potantail is intresting. If I'm not mistaken I think you can create a success player and then use him in career mode, truely able to see you creation through a full 20yr career.

Father's Day coming up, if it doesn't get skipped again like normal at my house, you know daddy's wants to wait till July!!!! Trading in PP for the new one! Daddy will be happy.....

They've had this mode in Japan for a few years and it's a huge hit so I'm sure it'll be awesome. It better be :D
