While they're at it, why not have call arguing and ejections?

If they do that, they'll definitely have to give Julio Lugo an A rating in crotch grabbing :D

Personally I don't like the idea of adding a ton of "realism" elements that serve no real purpose other than to slow down how long it takes to play a game. I like the fact you can get through a game in 20 minutes, unlike the hour it takes some other baseball games.

I agree, I love this game because of simplicity, and obviously gameplay.

so an A rating would be something like the Sam Cassel Juevos Dance? Sorry for the NBA reference... but it seems the only appropriate thing I can find...

We've gotten really off topic here

I have to tell this story, as it was the funniest thing I ever saw on televised baseball game. Some years back the Astros were in Arizona. It was in the early innings of the game. Anyway, the D'Backs were about to come up to bat when the Astros broadcast came back on. The announcers were talking about the pool in right field, and the camera man had the camera focused on the pool, which happened to be occupied that night by a bunch of early 20's women in next to nothing hoping around. Obviously the camera kinda lingered there for second before switching the shot to Derek Bell, who was playing right field.

Well, the shot just happened to pan over at just the same second that Bell was looking over his shoulders at the pool, reaching down and giving his crotch a serious tugging. Needless to say that the shot switched away very quickly, but I had to spit my meal out of my mouth because it was just perfect timing and just the funniest thing ever.

Had to share that.

Last night I watched a replay of that rather largish pitcher for the some team (red capped, white uniformed) throw strikeout after strikeout on ESPN, one of them he threw a pitch, struck the batter out, and he just turned around and let's say he made a big adjustment. Thought the timing was perfect

Does anyone know if saves from 2007 will be compatible with 2008? Though I don't mind playing through MLB Life mode and Success Mode, I don't want to lose my old characters.

No one knows yet for sure but if the past MLBPP games have been any indication then they won't be compatible.

It looks like some (if not, most) abilities will be recycled from the players abilities from 07, i didn't see a gyroball on the first pitching tab, although there is a breaking ball tab now.

It looks like the 29th is the "official" date. It started at July 9th but was moved to the 29th.

They probably just set the date at the end of the month so that they could have the maximum time to work on it, and still stay true to their word that it is coming out in July.

Then again, I've always heard the end of July anyway.

I'd never seen July 9 - when I started this thread a couple of weeks ago I put the 29th in the subject because that's what IGN had on their Wii releases page I linked to.
