I've been noticing a problem with power in season mode. The thing is, 180 power with no slugging stuff will get you 10 hrs a season...so you'd have to get 180 power+power hitter+slugger to get close to 30.
Hopefully they will tune this up.

The stats in general are unrealistic. Sim a season and you'll get most people batting in the mid to low .200s and .100s with a few guys batting .400 at season's end. Guys will crank out 200 plus RBIs. Some pitchers will get 400Ks. The whole thing needs to be revamped.

Likely the system they are using to roll dice is very pitching oriented...

I've already posted my Joba Chamberlain prediction in the password forum so I might as well add it here:

100mph 158CTRL 82STAM
4HSLD 1CHG
Battler, Safe Pitch, and maybe Dr K

I made this before the season began. Now I think he might get a reduction in velocity (98-99) and possibly a Lv1 curve. His stats would probably be decided before he moves to the rotation so I stand by the low stamina.

101 mph. Hopefully he will be a starter, but I doubt it.

I've actually seen him go 102 a few times. And yeah, my guess is he'd be a reliever.

On a side note, Hughes and Kennedy are going to have horrible stats, lol...

In 2009, not 2008. If they get there act together, it might be decent. For Kennedy I doubt that will be the case, but Hughes has had 5 starts 1 of which was good for three innings but the game got delayed 2-3 hours and he didn't come back.

Very doubtful that he's in and here's why...he didn't play a MLB game last season. Also, Ryan Braun didn't make his MLB debut until May 25th last season and he wasn't in the game...and Jay Bruce didn't make his MLB debut until May 27th this year so he probably won't be in.

It's also a wonder if Clements and Bonds will be on the free agent list.

For the same reason as this year, I doubt Bonds will even have his name in the game.

Clemens? Maybe for Houston, but I doubt it.
