I pesonaly think that Fukudome will be awesome and ellsbury won't be that good. Sorta around Brandon Inge stats. Fukudome will be very good. Mark my words 8)

I guess we'll have to see.

Konami does have a tendency to overrate Japanese players, but I think they'd be embarrassed from their over-evaluation of Igawa and Dice-K last year. Those stats were near duplicates from the Japanese Power Pros game. Fukudome wasn't even close to an "All A" type in Japanese Power Pros, so I doubt he'll be anything special.

Agreed. At the moment, Igawa is Control-E Stamina-B, chg-2, slid-2.
and Dice-K was waaaaay overrated. If you have dice-k on your team, with good offense, you pretty much will win rookie of the year, and cy young.
What about Hiroki Kuroda?

I think he'll have a ton of stamina because he had a lot of complete games in Japan(74 over 10 seasons)...not sure about the other ratings though.

I'm really curious how far they'll demote Igawa. Will he get the standard 3A treatment (G control, D stamina, two Lv1 pitches lol) or does he get the benefit of doubt? I have his stats edited to

91mph CTRL 90 STAM 120
1SLD 2CCHG
Walk Flyball P Fat Pitch

But I doubt they'd go that far :) I think he'll be closer to Jeff Karstens (E CTRL B STAM like you suggested). They'll probably give him a better changeup than a slider because it's his signature pitch.

91mph CTRL 110 STAM 130
1SLD 4CCHG
Walk Dr K

As for Kuroda, I think he'll be something like

95mph CTRL 153 STAM 186
3SLD 3FORK 2SHU

Actually I find Kartsens to be a brilliant back up starter and a good quality starter. He has a good array of strong pitches that compliment each other and has very good control. When used properly, he can be quite good. When I played my Yankee season (still have it in year two game 1 of opening season, but its in normal mode so its way too easy) I never used or thought about Igawa. I regret it now, he and Clemens could be devistating. By the way, after nearly missing Cy Young, Clemens ask for way too much money. Its not worth even asking him back as no one will take him in a trade!

Kuroda gets Unlucky.

Either that... the dodger offense is going to be mostly streaky guys with consistency 2...

Hopefully Jeff Mathis will be in this incarnation of MLBPP.

I'd imagine he'll be much in the same mold of Jeff McCann from the Braves, but maybe with a little less pop and a little better fielding.

Votto is gonna have probably average power High C or something like that and some kinda of C-B speed stat

maybe gold glover too since he can almost always get low throws

They're pretty reserved with the abilities so I doubt he'd have gold glover; it's possible but very, very doubtful.
