Both of them scored 8.4

A pretty short review. Sounds very similar to the previous game. The new pitching system
Quote:
a new pitching mode that lets you pitch with real-time controls (simiar to a Hot Shots Golf tap system
sounds promising IMO.

IGN makes it sound like you'll control your player when in the field as well as when batting in MLB Life mode.
Quote:
control only your player as they determine key moments in the games on both offense and defense.

Other then the above, nothing mentioned we didn't already know. And no word on whether there is any hope of seeing more walks.

I really doubt the person doing the review knew too much about the gameplay but he was doing his job talking about the technical side. I'm still skeptical about the commentary. The review said "The commentary alone is pretty impressive" but knowing last year's, It'll have to be a huge leap for me to think it is impressive.

As I type, I get the obligatory phone call from game stop telling me the game is coming "tomorrow afternoon."

I dunno. The reviewer had nothing but good things to say about Power Pros... like, the first one. His adoration for it was pretty clear, I think. He also says he's got "dozens and dozens of hours" still going into it, so... Yeah.

I don't understand the whole "pitch with real-time controls" thing. Could someone please explain that to me?

And that's cool that you can control your player defensively. I guess you control your player for an entire half inning playing defense, then only bat for your player on offense obviously.

In hot shots golf, the swinging system determined your power and accuracy, It could also be compared to the MLB the show games, where you determine speed and accuracy

Is it any different from the pitching option that was in last year's game. From the way he described it, it sounds fairly similar.
