I do not know if this was brought up before, but does a pitcher's top speed actually have an effect on how good they are? I never really paid attention to it. |

Yeah, it definitely does. Pitchers with low top speed always get rocked in season mode. In my roster update, R.A. Dickey always ends up with a 6+ ERA. |

If you take a player with top speed but nothing else - I made a guy named Marty Stone on the wiki, his top speed was 102/103 but he had NO control, no stamina, and just a few tiny breaking pitches - he does quite well over the season. Not many guys can catch up to the heater, and it makes a crappy changeup all the more effective. |
