I would like to see more throwback jerseys and Hall-of Famers unlockable somehow.

During Success mode when and if you reach the playoff play a full 16 team round robin tournament with no save option till the end win or lose. That way you have to play with your player as is for the playoff. Also during the season it would be nice to see the standing of the league

Esp the roster updates. Most years for most sport games (NFL, NCAA, PGA, NBA) it's just slightly improved graphics, new moves, and rosters updated 12 months from the previous game. It's good business sense I suppose, since everyone still buys them up like hotcakes.

I know that's why they won't allow us to edit players birthdates/experience, that, I agree is too much (but you can't blame me for asking :D). But what other sports franchise makes you clone teams just to trade? I just want to be able to trade on the main roster.

As far as roster updates, all they have to do is provide them through the season up to a certain date. If PP '08 had online roster updates from now up to the playoffs, and then no further updates until next year's edition, how does that hurt them? If it comes out around the same time next year, that's a whole offseason + a half season of roster movement, more than enough reason to want the new game.

But it's cool, I guess. When I just want to just make someone really quick, (like I did yesterday with my Sox new pickup Horacio Ramirez) the current setup allows us to overwrite someone, add them to a Arrange Team, and the return the player to default, bypassing Success Mode.

That is one way to use the current setup, though a basic create a player would have the same effect. Don't know what that would mean for Success Mode though. But when I just want to make a player very specifically, Success Mode can be tedious.

No. This keeps getting said and it's incorrect. Madden and NCAA 20XX at least have very in depth roster editing. You can change guy's names, birthdates, skills, etc. And you can just make new players and add them to teams. Most games DO have roster editing and they still come out every year, and people buy them every year because they either want the better graphics/features or they're too lazy to change everything themselves. Online roster updating would probably sell more copies than it held back, because anyone who cares THAT much about it is going to do the clone team and arrange thing anyway. The reason we don't have that in Power Pro is the same reason we can only save one person at a time in Success mode. And that reason is somebody is falling asleep at the switch.

I was somewhat joking in my last comment about every draft pitcher being a sidearm/submarine stretch only guy, but I'm at the point where I'm ready to say this is broken.

Along the same lines, there are an inordinate number of pitchers (starters are most notable, but also many relievers) who don't have a windup delivery at all in the game but do in real life. It's rather disconcerting to face so many starters working exclusively out of the stretch. It isn't realistic in general, or specifically with the many pitchers that *do* have a real life windup delivery but don't in this game. I'll try to jot down names of real players (not fictitious drafted pitchers) that have that problem.

I'd probably care less if I didn't find it significantly more difficult to hit against quick pitching stretch deliveries than windups.

I want to see more alternate jersey usage. Even in Life. How cool would it be to see your player in of those retro jerseys as well.

Unfortunately, it seems that pitching stances are too simplified at the software level.

What they SHOULD have done, is have two pitching stances, one for windup situations, the other for quick delivery. It could even be in the same "pitching style" just have two of them.

they need to fix the fielding in success and my life mode. they make stupid plays, that little leaguers would make. If the ball is right by them, they hardly ever dive to stop it. It makes me not want to make pitchers because of the stupid plays.

qft, the auto defense in this game for Success Mode is laughable at best. The only way you can turn a double play is if the ball is hit very fast and near second base, not to mention the running speed of the outfielders is pathetic.

What about an addition to Success Mode, something like the choice between doing a personal workout (getting the most experience points for yourself) or a team workout (getting less experience points, but the rest of the team benefits and you have an easier time winning games)

Marvin looks like he's running in quicksand. I would like to see old stadiums unlockable. Sorry if anybody already said this. I want Three Rivers Stadium and Forbes Field.
