another problem I have a lot in MLB Life is the CPU gets a strikeout whenever it wants to. For example:

No outs, I get a base hit.
The next guy comes up.
Strike one perfectly down the middle, I steal second.
Strike two mistake pitch, I steal third.
Strike three. Out.
And the next guy strikes out on a perfectly hittable pitch. And the next. Even though I'm on third base. When the computer wants to strike the batter out, it will, and there is absolutely no control over that no matter how good the hitter is.

And also: Clint Barmes starting over Troy Tulowitzki? WTF?

Yeah... isn't it funny how Albert Pujols can't hit the da*n ball when we have two or three guys in scoring position?!? That aggrivates me so much! I can see why Bobby Knight threw the chair at the ref...I'd do the same, except it would just break my TV...

It's also good when you face off against them in MLB Life.

Has anyone besides me played league mode and noticed that the team that is the No.1 Placement usually wins. I put my created team in a 33 game series 162 game season. Against all WBC teams except Japan and this team outdid japan and the DR by 17 games. I did this with the US team and they won. Either our pitching is evil or this games league mode is jacked up.

they also need to fix something else.
when the word "strike" or "ball" shows up after every pitch, it blocks about 1/4th of the strike zone.

tOTALLY agree. Whenever there's a high strike call, i can never see if it actually was a strike! Annoying.

the bat is see through, but still not totally; a black bat with a tight batting stance (a-la Youk) and a weird delivery mean I can never get a hit.

Here's where the japan version is. Probably/hopefully will be the same in U.S.

good, i'm not the only one who noticed...
anyways, i think that the most flawed mode is mlb life, thanks to horrible run support (for batters and pitchers, the guys batting behind me always have mendoza line averages) and no interaction with kids.

I think the failings with My Life are how silly/repetitive it is.

"you got a hit! next time, lead us to victory!"
"You got no hits (in your one pinch-hit at bat against their closer). You suck!"

You date one of 5 chicks, get Oakley as the Marvin-esque friend, and get put in the starter's job really no matter who you're replacing. I'm a starting LF on the Reds, supplanting Griffey and Dunn with my all-Es. You improve at a snails pace until your rich, when you improve drastically faster. Friendships have no benefits, and women/kids have little to no benefit.

Admittedly, I haven't done a pitcher yet, but with the run support I can imagine that biting.

The scout only negotiating a few times and what I've heard about lack of choice in what team/offer to take suck too. But I'l play more before doing a full in-depth writeup.

also, you only really sign one year deals, which also sucks.

You do get multi year deals when you get to be a free agent. Even so, the contract negotiations could use some sprucing up.
