I myself have started to hate making pitchers just because it's not fun. I think it's fun to pitch, but with Dolphin it's very hard.
On console I love to make pitchers and plan to make some pitchers on my wii.
But hitters are easier to make and I like to make hitters to make.
In making sucess players what are your favorite to create.

Pitchers are ridiculously easy to make and have an op one without even S/L'ing lol

Either can be a challenge. I think as a hitter you have a better chance - 3 or 4 at-bats in game time, and you can hit singles to make it through. Since most players want power hitters, as soon as you add power the scouting goes up and it's way easier. A bit more fun, too, to smack the ball.

Pitchers can be more of a challenge - very rarely you get the benefit of the game auto-dominating some innings, but when it throws you in there, and you don't have a good second pitch or can't fool the guys, things can spiral fast - which just can't happen to a hitter. With some practice, using location to your advantage, and developing MPH and breaking stuff, it gets very easy - so easy that almost everyone ends up with "Vs. Lefty 4", the ability that makes many of the real players become unrealistic.

Making middling, realistic pitchers, WITHOUT huge abilities, and without Vs Lefty 4, is one of the true tests of game skill with MLBPP08. It's one of my favorite things to do :)

I usually swing back and forth, sometimes I'll get on a roll making one or the other and sometimes I'll get really stuck on something and try flipping over to get my confidence back a bit. I think it's fun to try to make realistic players, but I've also had fun making super-players, especially since that's not an ability I've always had and they're So Fun to use in exhibitions/season mode/homerun/etc.

I prefer making hitters because during games you don't have to watch your poodoo defense give the game away.
But it's the most fun making pitchers and giving them sick original pitches, which cannot be done by mere editing, and makes the 1.5 to 2 hour commitment worth it.
Favorite original pitch: Slow Curve with more break, When you hit 7 on that it is Kershaw-esque

original pitches are the best. I have original curves on my Kershaw and Kluber (6 and 5 respectively) and they're pretty much unhittable (just like real life!)
