What's a genius?

I've rolled these guys a couple times. Whenever I get it I take EXTREME precaution. I would hate it of I lost one.

well, now i know what i am looking for, i know that i've rolled 3 geniuses, they came out pretty dope, but if i knew what i really had...
so, i have made about 140 players, with 3 of the genius type, does this sound like bad odds? normal odds? is there a genius maximum that cannot exceed three? i doubt it, probably as random as the whole rest of the game, which i love.

I don't know about the odds. I've made 60 players, and haven't gotten a genius yet...

Since I've known what a genius was, I've made about 50 players and none of them have had it. And then add in another 50 times I've quit because I didn't like my starting stats, that would make me 0-100 or so

Yeah, I've probably started at least 100 characters. 60 of them completed. No geniuses.

I've had like 3 genius players before I knew they existed and what they were, after that I only had one.

I've had like 2 out of 800 or so players created. My first one occurred that long ago I don't remember when, the latest one I scraped (I know stupid) but the power was too high for the player I was doing. Most of the time my save loading at the beginning is to start off with stats rather than good sense and the other requirements for genius.

If i've ever gotten one of these guys I've never noticed... and i've had to delete characters to make room more then once.

after 100 tries or so, maybe 200, decided to turn the unit off completely. turned it back on, and rolled a genius on the fourth try.

it was awesome, and i decided to think about it for awhile before diving into it.
goals: 105 mph, A ctrl, 220+ stam, lvl 7 orig VSLD, 3 or four more pitches, all lvl 5+, plus blue abilities up the wazoo. also would like to have his FLD, SPD, ARM, ERES at 12+.
wondering what the best way is to rack up mentality points so I can get the ctrl up to A level and beyond?

Love that you went with a submarine lefty. Free Time and Random Events are a great way to rack up mentality early on, while also building up your energy meter. When it's time to get serious about practice, get the Concentration Earplugs 2. Between that and the Gambler's Ring, you should be fine.
