Yeah, KFPC, but I'm not very savvy when it comes to linking other posts into this post. So help me if it pleases you.

A question for you guys:

What NL division would you like the Blackjacks to play in?

I don't really care about geography so much, so every division is in play.
It needs to be NL, because the DH and its accompanying rules mess with the whole two way player thing. There's five of you playing now, so I'll only vote if ties need to be broken.

March 16, 2016

LVB 7, TOR 1

The long ball made quite an impact today, as the Jacks hit seven solo homers en route to an exhibition win. Dusty Yokel, Lance Derby, and Cristobal Santos each hit two homers.
Derby picked up the save with 1and1/3 perfect innings of relief.

John Bradley also stole a base.

I'm going to try to get some uniform designs done soon

I vote for NL West because geography

Well, I doubt that the long ball will be a big part of our offense.
PanPakka park is a much bigger than Local Ballpark.

Alfonzo woke up to the sound of his phone ringing.
He groggily answered it. From what he heard, he thought it must be some strange dream.
"What's that?", he said, "Is this for real?"
"Yes. It's real.", said Sergey Brin on the other end, "Fonzo, are you ok, dude? I sent you several important emails about this."
Alfonzo rarely checked his email.
"Get the team ready," said Sergey, "we leave for Paris in five hours."

The Blackjacks were occupying many more seats than they needed in the Las Vegas airport, as only professional athletes probably can.
John Bradley, and Jack Caselli were playing a card game that John called "cosmic baseball". John had discovered it when readingThe Dharma Bums, by Jack Kerouac.

Tucker Towns was practicing the art of zen meditation with Hansuke, who believed it to be the secret to avoiding jet lag.

Lance Derby and Dusty Yokel were playing a game where they would name a baseball team and a year, and the other would have to name as many players as possible in a minute from that team, and they would get a point per player.
Lance said to Dusty "here's an easy one: the '86 Mets"
LGM, time yourself and see how many you can name. I know you'll be honest with us. Let me know how many you get. You can list all the players if you really want to.

After he rattled off the '86 Mets, Dusty countered to Lance with "the '86 Astros"
Tdud, do the same

My man Mookie Wilson
Keith Hernandez
Dwight Gooden
Darryl Strawberry
Gary Carter
Ray Knight
Wally Backman
Howard Johnson
Jesse Orosco
Kevin Mitchell
Sid Fernandez
Rick Aguilera
Tim Corcoran

That's what I got in about a minute and a half. There's probably some obvious ones I missed

EDIT: like Lenny Dykstra and Ron Darling

Dusty named ten of the '86 Mets in 60 seconds, then just for his own satisfaction added five more after time expired.

Lance named four of the '86 Astros Lance STAM+4
...
Tucker Towns overheard the game and asked Lance to give him a team.
Lance replied with "the '89 Cubs"

(Note from dustyfarmer: I got eight Cubs)

Andre Dawson, Greg Maddux, Ryne Sandberg, Mark Grace, Mitch Williams, and Curtis Wilkerson

that makes...six, not bad

Wilkerson, nice.
I actually only got seven.
I was sure that Rick Agulera was on those Cubs. But it was Rick SUTCLIFFE.

I also got Shawan Dunston, and that years ROY, Jerome Walton (30 game hit streak in 89)
...
Tucker named six Cubs before time ran out.

Wilkerson's actually the head baseball coach at my school, so yeah, I kinda have to know what teams he played for

Forgot about Dunston; if I remember right, his son (Shawon Jr.) is in the Cubs' system as an outfielder.
