maybe try sliding them down in the order? I dunno what the rest of your lineup looks like attribute-wise but you've got some solid numbers (Charmy, Espio, and Silver all seem like they could work as leadoff hitters) and maybe that'd help get Fussell/Amy going ??

Definitely a possibility for Charmy to to take Sonic's SS job (for now) if he keeps up the slump, move him to leadoff, and then bump Amy/Fussell down to 7th. I'm hesitant to move Espio and Silver because I think they benefit from Shadow's and Knuckles' intimidator.

Starting Second Basewoman Blaze the Cat to DL with Broken collarbone
Phoenix- The Sonics' rough start to the season just got rougher. Starting 2B Blaze the Cat is out a month after a broken collarbone she suffered in the middle of last night's game. Things looked bad when she got up squinting with pain after she scored on a head first slide on Espio's 5th inning RBI single. She was promptly replaced by Charmy Bee at second base. "It really sucks, I mean it just tests how you respond to adversity" Blaze said. "The worst part is, I was starting to get hot." Blaze's April ends with some impressive numbers that will be hard to replace: a slash line of (.361/.395/.472), 6 runs scored, 3 RBIs, 5 stolen bases, and zero errors in the field. The already-struggling Sonics' lineup will have to replace that production. E-Neo-2003 doesn't think the lineup will skip a beat: "It hurts, but Charmy has been very good in his limited at bats, and we think he could continue swinging the bat well. Plus, his fielding is top-notch." Charmy is currently hitting (.385/.500/.462).

Scobie Second to hit DL
San Jose-- The Sonics' unfortunate luck continued, as pitcher Scobie hits the DL with elbow pains. Scobie, who is 1-0 with an ERA of just 1.59, has been a pleasant surprise in the Sonics' rotation early in the year. "Just an unfortunate malfu- er, injury" said manager E-2003-Neo. The injury occurred on the last out of the 4th inning in last nights' 7-2 win. Despite forcing an out, Scobie grabbed his elbow in pain. He was promptly pinch hit for with Riley in the bottom of the inning. He said he had been experiencing some fatigue prior to the game. "It's sucks, but I'll be back" said Scobie. For the sake of the teams' pitching, let's hope he is.

Sonics sign Mephiles the Dark
San Jose- The Sonics have signed Mephiles the Dark to bolster their bullpen. They had been reluctant to sign him due to his past history (such as killing Sonic), but when he made himself available, it was hard to resist. "He has a good mid-90s fastball, great breaking stuff, and is great under pressure" said manager E-2003-Neo. The Sonics optioned swing man Shibilo (1-2, 10.50 ERA) to Triple-A to make room for him.
