Riptide (Baymore 1-1) @ Mariners (Washburn 1-1) 4/18 Game Summary The San Jose offence looked like it was about to break out of it doldrums after a couple good offensive efforts against Boston. But they found themselves stuck in neutral again, managing just a pair of runs. However, The Riptide pitching staff made the runs stand up as their early season dominance continued, and Kenny Baymore continued the sting of fantastic starts for San Jose. San Jose's two runs came in the fourth and fifth with RBI singles from AJ Wright and Nick DiRosa respectively. San Jose did miss an opportunity to blow the game open late when Mario Cirelli came up with the bases loaded, but grounded out to end the threat. Turning Point After pushing a run across the plate in the bottom of the eighth, Seattle loaded the bases against Juan Morales. Morales ended the threat by getting Ibanez to strike out to preserve the on run lead. Cleveland Indians (Carmona 2-0) VS. Riptide(Park 1-0) 4/24 Game Summary The offensive consistency may still be missing from Sam Jose's game, but their pitching has been nothing short of dominant, as Dae-Ho Park kept the line moving and the Riptide picked up their 11th consecutive win. "I wish I knew what the secret was." Manager Scott0530 said when asked of his pitching staff's dominance. "I just hope they can keep it rolling. It's almost like their playing a video game." Playing a game would constitute the ability to score, which remains a mystery for this club to be able to produce runs on a nightly basis. It looked good early. Hayes led of the game with a walk and Garrett followed with one two batters later before Cirelli boomed a 2RBI double to left center. San Jose had a chance to add on in the seventh, but Garrett and Cirelli grounded out to end the threat. Turning Point In the seventh, Victor Martinez doubled with one out. Park got Casey Blake to strike out and Jeff Lake came on and K'ed the lefty Delucci.
