Gyroball.

2nd one I've seen in a draft. The first was drafted by the Rays. This one slipped to me while playing/drafting with the Astros.

Wow, I've never seen a gray-bar with gyroball.

What nongraybar player has gyroball? I've never seen anyone with it.

From the Wiki description - a fastball with football-like spin - I don't really understand the benefit. Harder to hit straight?

I'm thinking of trying some technique training next spring training, and pitching-wise, was gonna try for DrK and intimidator, but maybe gyroball is worthwhile

Just now the Pirates drafted Haynes, hes a sidearm lefty that is a swing man with G80 control and D60 stam and the fastest he can pitch is 83 MPH. BUT he has a LVL 4 Forkball, LVL 4 Slider and a LVL 5 Curveball.

Do the players in the draft get better as you progress?

This is what I mean.

Say an 2008 pick is 2EDDECF.

Will there be 2009 picks that are 2DDDDCE, or even 2012 pick that's 3CCCCCC?

My 2011 draft had a few more quality pitchers than normal - more with stamina in the 100s and more level 3 pitches - but I haven't noticed a real difference.

Position player have definitely not improved from 2008-2011. They either suck, or suck less.

Yeah, pitchers in the drafts have always been better than fielders.

Just drafted a catcher with D contact, E power, 1 TRJ and everything else that was fielding related was a C, he also had sparkblug and Good Catcher, pretty good draft pick.
