Season Mode should have an auto save that you can turn off/on.
Reason?
Well I was playing as the Yankees, I successfully traded most of the expensive guys for cheaper, better people. For example:
Johnny Damon, Hideki Matsui for Adam Dunn (was hitting .353!)
Giambi for cash (I already have rookie DH, hitting like .300)
A-Rod for Ryan Zimmerman
Jeter for Jimmy Rollins (a sick trade)
Mariano Rivera for Papelbon (sorry, but Papelbon is much cheaper and ends seasons with similar stats)
Pettite for Fausto
Abreu for Cuddyer (ok, not the best, but I had to dump that salary)
Also in an earlier trade the Padres gave me 3 good pitchers for a weak catcher (salary dump, the AI is pretty smart)
I went to toggle options, but I accidently hit "save" I thought exit got out of the menu, didn't see the notice, and wiped my memory. Nice.

Yeah an auto save feature would be nice.....especially in your case.

That would be nice. And it should only save after actually playing a game (not simming or doing fast game). Sometimes I like to experiment with trades and I don't want the game to auto save if I make a trade I don't want to. So I can do my little experiments, exit without saving, come back into season mode, play a game and let it auto save.

Well, yes. But that would be annoying having to change the setting if I want to do something I don't plan on saving, which I do a lot.

But doesn't My Life mode allow you to save without Save and Exit (success mode)? One would think it'd be easier...

Yeah for My Life you can save then go back to what you were doing.

They should make it the same. Save and go back to what you were doing.

Season mode is that way as well.

Yeah, it's so much easier that way.

I think 'Save & Exit' was put into the Success mode in an "attempt" to cut down on people cheating the mode by making it slightly more difficult to save and reload before performing any action.
