PLAYERS OF THE WEEK (6/9 (nice) - 6/15), AND AL ALL-STAR VOTING LEADERS ANNOUNCED

For the American League, the players of the week are:

Angels LF Robinson Adams, who hit .550, with 3 HR and 10 RBI.
Malamutes 1B Cole Aldridge, who hit .500, with 3 HR and 18 RBI.

Now for the National League:

Dinosaurs CF Lon Gaspar, who hit .458, with 6 HR and 17 RBI.
Felines LF Alfredo Ortiz, who hit .500, with 6 HR and 15 RBI.

The PGL has again released an updated list of the top AL vote-getters for the All-Star Game, the third time the PGL has done so for the American League. Take a look at the results:

Catcher
1: Maurice Baker, Soldiers (1,778,617 votes)
2: Marvin Pachot, Rhinos (1,596,391 votes)
3: Steve Wilkins, Sheriffs (1,260,389 votes)

First Base
1: Fred Gassner, Hatchlings (2,072,600 votes)
2: Jared Young, Senators (2,058,406 votes)
3: Brian Spencer, Heroes (1,876,547 votes)

Second Base
1: Pedro Lima, Gorillas (2,450,734 votes)
2: Peter Price, Soldiers (1,713,291 votes)
3: Gayle Mitchell, Heroes (1,367,963 votes)

Third Base
1: Alex Bautista, Malamutes (2,086,744 votes)
2: Franklin Acuna, Rhinos (1,783,187 votes)
3: Richard Burton, Heroes (1,610,397 votes)

Shortstop
1: Albert Benson, Senators (1,727,326 votes)
2: Harland Marks, Patriots (1,540,525 votes)
3: Jan Stewart, Angels (1,517,236 votes)

Outfield
1: Alex Moyer, Hatchlings (3,281,406 votes)
2: Zora Brown, Squirrels (3,225,301 votes)
3: Mick Jones, Gorillas (2,987,121 votes)
4: Russell Ryan, Flash (2,128,371 votes)
5: Victor Gonzalez, Crawdads (2,044,304 votes)

Designated Hitter
1: Kazuhiro Watanabe, Canadians (2,259,446 votes)
2: Dorsey Palmer, Heroes (1,349,310 votes)
3: Zane Anderson, Flash (1,195,218 votes)

Again, not much has changed from the last time, though there are new leaders at the first base and shortstop positions. As they have previously done, the PGL plans to release the NL results a day after the AL ones, so expect those tomorrow!
