North American Baseball Association (now) United American Baseball Association
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Due to a obvious, decline of personality/popularity of the game of baseball. A lot of former MLB players decided to develop their own league, that stood for fans first and the corporations second. The League was based around the motto of "If the fans don't like it we don't either" which was the drive to make the game of baseball entertaining to those who where watching. Then after careful planning and designing the idea of the league became reality. The NABA was born and it promoted player outspokenness and players having personality on the baseball field as well as off it.This outlook of baseball caused a lot of early attention to the league by news media and baseball players and fans alike. Using there new found fame they were able to set teams in major cities with out a mlb team and place them in 20,000+ capacity stadiums. All this before the season even started, could the league maintain and support the hype built up for the league?well that's for us to find out.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Teams
Louisville Dragons(local ballpark)
San Jose Sting(Suburban ballpark)
Miami Macaws (Sun life Stadium)
Las Vegas Wolf Pack (panpaka park)
San Antonio Sluggers(Roger Center)
Portland Venom(Pet-co Park)

In depth team analysis later on
-Teams are consited of season mode teams, success mode players, and few major league players.

Uh... viewtopic.php?f=13&t=4789

Though it looks like this one will be League Mode instead of Season. Seems interesting.

Miami Macaws

Image
By cdawg023 at 2011-12-20

Miami Macaws are owned by local group of Latino businessmen. That families had strong connections to the Miami area.even though the MLB was still continuing as a league the city allowed the team to call the city it's home at sun life stadium.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Miami is has a almost loaded pitching rotation and bullpen, based around their pitching the team hopes it covers for their holes in the line-up. Where star power is really weak. Even though you can say the hitting in the line up is scattered the defensive play and run speed is better then most teams and the bench is something to watch for.

Las Vegas Wolf Pack

Image
By cdawg023 at 2011-12-20

"the pack" is owned by the a majority of the the board of directors from the Caesars Entertainment Corporation. This was just an excuse to build a stadium next to casinos and draw local sports fans to gambling but no ones complaining 8)

The Wolf pack is a fairly stable team, don't expect a championship from them though. A lot of the team is centered around the younger players of the team which are fantastic players. Looking at the pitching depth you'll see a lot of above average players and some potential play makers but overall the team pitching wise isn't that amazing. looking at the line-up as well they have a major in-general hitting issue there isn't a lot of hitting on the team in general, about 2 strong hitters but nothing else so don't expect a championship out of this team

Key Pitches

Brandon Looper R
Ctrl C
Stam B
MPH:96
Pitches Slider 2 Sinking fast 3 Split 1

Brandon is the Ace but this teams needs a better one. Not saying he cant pull his own wait, but you looking at the star pitcher of the rotation; and that doesn't seem great. Compared to other teams like Miami or Louisville they need to really fix this

Ted Jennings L
Ctrl C
Stam D
MPH: 91
Pitches: Curve 6 Sinker 2

Looking at him at first he doesn't seem like he'd be a factor in a game. Despite his low speed he has special intangibles that make him better then a lot of closers. His fastballs come off faster then they really are which set ups for his dominating Curve ball. durring the minor leagues he threw for a 1.24 in AAA under the MLB system and managed 32 saves. So DO NOT sleep on him he will change the game.

Feilders

Deshuan Rayban S/R LF
Con B
Pwr C
Spd A
Arm B
Fld D
Eres B

His college career was a sight to see .405 Batting average with 15 Home Runs and 37 Stolen bases. The kid was on fire and his indpedent career was to he blazed a path through the competion with his speed and hitting skills almost considered a hybrid of Carl Crawford and Ryan Howard, he is just amazing to watch.

This league has so much hype. They got the creator of the Simpsons and futurama to own team, Crazy right?! Yep Matt Groening of Portland chipped in to gain a team for his home town (And a few other famous Portland natives helped but don't tell no one).

Portland is pretty much a list of fresh out of college/minor league player, So they have a lot of time to develop this team there are 3 Shinning stars on this team so they aren't to far behind.

Ramon Hernandez L
Ctrl C
Stam E
MPH: 96
Pitches Curve 5 2 Seam 2 Crossover 5

Next K-Rod Anyone? Well Portland has him. Meet Ramon Hurlnandez. The man is prepared for a war on the baseball feild. He will throw the his best at you with a spectacular fastball and Curve balls that could go around Kim kardashian's ass. The guy is the best closer in the league as long as he can stay healthy.

5-tool player with a long way to go, He pulls the ball and not great in a jam, but Carlos is defensive threat and streaky hitter. That can lead a team in hits and stolen bases. be prepared to face him head on cause he doesn't hold back.

What the golden boy lacks in skill he picks up with hustle. This young stud can due everything at the plate. He should always be taken as a serouis threat to change the flow of a game. MAthieson takes the game as seriously as ray lewis takes football so the man will come at you guns a blaze.

Cool! Looks like you put the Macaws' image for the Wolf Pack though.

The only team owned by the respective the city the stay in hopefully they stay long :P.

Anyways, we put the sluggers under the microscope and out conclusion; is they're ok. They have a few stand out players but not a powerhouse squad. The Rotation is average and line up is fairly solid. So really saying this team is special I could be lying but they do have special players.

Chris Warner R
Ctrl D
Stam B
MPH: 89
Pitches Delo 3 Curve 2 Change 3

the young ace of the team and he looks fairly average like other key players but he is fairly talented. A lot of his pitching is throwing low and that where the batters usally end up hitting (in the dirt). He can strike you out though so don't be fooled he wont put up some K's on the boards. His only drawback seems to be his temper and yet that just seems to make him play better.

Ede Warner L/L 2B
Con C
Pwr D
Spd B
Arm D
FLD D
ERES C

At fist he seems like a above average talent but he is a great table setter and base runner. once when this younger brother steps on the feild he tries to mimic then out do his big brother's output. So his competitive drive really seems be his motivation to greatness.

Sam Riley R/R SS
Con D
Pwr D
Spd B
Arm C
Fld C
Eres D

Hitting may not be his forte but he tries to model him self after the great wiz of fielding. He differently seems to be a vacuum defensively, scooping anything near him but he is also a aggressive runner and all-round player so don't under estimate him.

Apple products anyone? The sting is owned by the co founder of apple; Steve "the woz" Wozniak.
Surpised they didn't build a stadium with apple only in it.

The sting was a old expansion team of the attempt of a MLB 32 team expansion, even though but the 8th year the team managed to win a World series then after wards lost in the divisional series to the tigers. the team dropped out along with the other expansion team to venture to a indy league. This is where they stopped. lets remeber this is a veteran team consisted of highly respected prospects so a ton of 30 year old's are on this team. I will say the whole pitching staff are marked with controlled flamethrowers. Even though the line up could be better the team has no complaints about their roster
