Yeah, I'm just not doing updates until Monday. I think I posted that in the counting thread. I have a couple of games played, I just have to type 'em up. I'll be gone tomorrow and Friday too, and my weekend is full. But Monday there shall be updates.

Massives Beat White Sox, 14th Time This Year
June 18, 2008- The Massives beat the White Sox once again, in Chicago. The Sox have really had trouble against the Massives this year, and are only 1-14 against them. Today, Terry hit an RBI ground-out in the 1st inning, and gave the Massives the early 1-0 lead. They built onto that in the 3rd, with RBI singles by Nishikawa and Griffin, then Nishikawa scored on a passed ball, making it 4-0. In the 4th, home run race leader Gordon hit another, a three run jack to make it 7-0. In the 6th, Amarillo Phillips blasted a 475 foot bomb to center field, and made it 8-0. Cruse stole home in the 7th, when the Massives attempted a suicide squeeze with Griffin at the plate, but Griffin missed the bunt. It worked out though, and put the Massives ahead 9-0. Of course the White Sox would score, on a solo homer by Konerko also in the 7th. Phillips answered back in the 8th with an RBI double, scoring Gordon and making it 10-1. Jim Thome hit a 3 run homer of his own in the 8th to make it 10-4. Monarch was brought in to pitch in the 9th, and gave up 2 runs on a Uribe RBI double, and a Swisher RBI single. Amazingly, Monarch still hasn't lost a game, or blown a save. We talked to Will Adams after the game about facing opposing pitcher Great Lee, and knuckleballer. " I didn't know he threw a knuckleball. I was really confused right away, then got the hang of it on the third pitch and smacked a single. I guess I'll have to pay more attention when coach talks to me." Our next game is on the 26th at home, taking on the Indians. Rich Thrower is starting, and is expected to throw some heat. Until then, see ya!

Mendes is a 3B.

I hate playing the White Sox so much.

Why do you hate playing the White Sox.

Oliver kennedy decises to mock Nina for his girly name.

Terry points out that Kennedy went 0 for 5.

Shields notes that he has no clue whether he's done anything yet.

I hate the White Sox because Thome and Konerko always hit homers.

Shields must have been brain washed.

I will do stat updates before the all star game for you guys.

Kennedy might have been 0-5, but he was on base twice, which is more than Terry was. So, what's your point? You want Terry batting 2nd?

Gordon states that Terry and Kennedy can't hit NEAR as many homers as he can.

Thrower: No comment.

Massives Blow-Out Indians
June 26, 2008- The Massives beat the Indians handily last night, and have been scoring runs easily in past few games. In the 1st, Phillips got it started with a 2 RBI triple to right center, to give an early 2-0 lead to the Massives. In the 3rd, Cruse smacked a 2 RBI single, and made it 4-0. The Massives got 2 more in the 5th, when Nishikawa got an RBI double, and Griffin an RBI single to make it 6-0. In the 6th, Gordon and Phillips hit back-to-back homers, and made it 8-0. The Indians got on the scoreboard in the 7th, when David Dellucci got an RBI single. In the bottom half, Bob Griffin hit a solo homer to right, barely clearing the wall, and making the score 9-1. Travis Hafner played well all game, and was really the only Indians player to do so. Hafner got an RBI double in the 8th, making the score 8-2. Thrower pitched a complete game, only giving up those 2 runs. Our next game is on Independence Day, July 4th, in Boston, against the Red Sox. Jason Ramirez is starting against knuckleballer Tim Wakefield. Until then, see ya!

Gordon states that he is THE BEST home run hitter around. Thrower is proud of his complete game.

Massives Win a Close One, Ortiz Powers Red Sox
July 4, 2008- Happy 4th of July everyone! The Massives were in the ball park on this holiday, taking on the Red Sox at Fenway Park. It was a pitchers dual for the first few innings, as Ramirez rolled through the Red Sox lineup the first time through, and the Massives struggled against the knuckleball. Terry broke the scoreless tie in the 4th, when he hit a 2 run homer to make it 2-0. David Ortiz hit one over the green monster in left, and out of the park in the 6th, scoring 3 runs, and putting the Massives down a run, 2-3. With 2 outs, Gordon doubled in the 8th. Phillips was the next batter, but hit a grounder to shortstop. Julio Lugo misjudged it, and the ball ended up in center field, while Gordon scored to tie the game at 3-3. In the bottom of the inning, David Ortiz repeated his homer from the 6th, and hit it to almost the exact same spot, a 2 run homer this time, giving the Sox the lead, 5-3. The Massives wouldn't go away though, as LaRue and Adams got back-to-back double to score a run, and make it 4-5. Kennedy got a single then, scoring Adams from second, and tying the game at 5-5. After Kennedy stole second base, Gordon smacked a single up the middle to score Kennedy, and give the Massives a lead. Robby Monarch got the job done, and struck out 1 batter on his way to his 21st save of the year. After the game, we talked with Red Sox slugger David Ortiz. "It is upsetting that we couldn't hold onto our 2 leads that we had, and get the win. But they are a good team, and good teams make comebacks. We weren't ready for it." The Massives take on the Royals next, at home on July 11th. Reggie Carlson is starting for Memphis. Until then, see ya!

Yeah, I've been playing pretty well with him, but he's doing really bad during simulation. :(
