Jacksonville stays active in trade market. Acquire Mike Pelfrey from Mets

Jacksonville- The Jacksonville Pelicans have traded minor league pitcher Trey Aoyama (85/E114/C99) to the Mets in exchange for pitcher Mike Pelfrey (96/E-115/B-121). To make room on the roster Jacksonville optioned pitcher Rocky Bernard to AAA St. Augustine. Pelfrey will take the #3 spot in the Pelican rotation and Ed Norton will return to the Jacksonville pen. Pelfrey has spent the entire season so far at AAA Pt. St. Lucie and has not thrown a pitch at the major league level. But, that will change now that Pelftrey is a Pelican, said manager/GM Scott0530.
"Mike throws hard, has a couple good breaking pitches and finally gives us a pitcher with a good stamina rating (B121). Mike will slot into our rotation behind Adam (Crabtree) and (Joe) Wesson. More than likely he will make his first start this Sunday, the series finale against Chicago."

The left handed knuckleballer  . He has a good fastball to go with it so I'm usually able to surprise hitters when I throw the knuckler.

Dan Johnson is raking; he also leads the league in hits. All that and he's played the first six weeks in blue condition or worse.
