Pair of Japanese Stars headed to America?

Today, December 5th, 2008, two Japanese stars, Yu Darvish and Kenta Maeda have announced that they will be heading to America to play in the MLB for the 2009 season. Many MLB teams in need of pitching such as the Yankees are showing much interest in Kenta and Yu.

The Broncos reaction to this is that they don't really care. Sure, Maeda and Darvish are really good, but Vegas has a very good potential rotation right now. Kenta has hinted though, that he wants to help out a struggling team, which he says the Broncos qualify as. If the Broncos were to grab Maeda they'd probably move Melendez to the bullpen, giving Smitherman a spot in the rotation with the loss of Hideo Nomo.

So readers, I'm wondering which prospects of the 09 season I should add to my season. Andrew Bailey, Gordon Beckham, Andrew McCutchen, Carlos Gonzalez.

Please give me suggestions on who to add, I'll add 7 rookies, the 4 above are 4, so I'll take the next 3 best suggestions.

Gio Gonzalez? Kung Fu Panda? Hmm, not sure off the top of my head.

Yeah, I was thinking, Sandoval, Gio, and Cahill, and Brett Anderson, all A's except Sandoval. I'll probably exclude Cahill in that mix.

Fun blog, Gibson. Just noticed and read through it. Are you still looking for a 2b? Orlando Hudson should be a FA and he's awesome! Even "awesomer" if you up his trajectory.

I don't understand when you rank a pitcher's pitches with letters instead of numbers. What would a level D curve be? Level B?

C=3
D=2
F=1

I like to do that because I want to keep the log ratings in letters.

Today, January 22, 2009, the Pittsburgh Pirates and Washington Nationals have announced a blockbuster trade that will send Pirates starter Noah Lowry to the Nationals for Washington RF Austin Kearns.

Today, February 14th, 2009, the Houston Astros and Los Angeles Dodgers have announced a trade that will send Astros 2B Brian Roberts to L.A. for CF Andruw Jones. Both players look to contribute to their new teams in ST and the regular season.

Case: So Lindsay, what areas of our game do our players need to focus on?

Case: Hmm... I don't agree with a couple of guys in there like Gallagher and Hudson.

Lindsay: Well for Anthony, we believe we can develop him into a primetime power hitter like Ryan Howard and he is already a great 5-too player so I just assume putting him into power practice. And for Hudson, contact is his weakest area so if we could make his contact solid he could be an easy .310 batter with 20 homers.

Case: Yeah, that actually makes more sense

For Hudson, once he's up to level C contact, consider focusing on his trajectory to up it to 3.
