Today it has just been announced, Bud Selig has talked with two men, brothers Case and Trevor Royal, on the 2008 MLB expansion pack. Case will be owning a team called the Las Vegas Broncos and Trevor will be owning a team called the Montreal Gunners. The Broncos will play in Simply Stadium at Panpaka while the Gunners will play in the Supercenter.

Case and Trevor are currently assigned to hire managers, GMs etc, by spring training which is a month away.

Today! Case Royal has officially leaked that he has hired staff members for the team including General Manager, 37 year old Logan Sparks, Manager, Tim Williams Jr., 48, Trainer Tony Travolta, 29, base coaches Martin Lynch and Marvin Raines, 36 and 52, batting coach Giancarlo Martinez, 43, and pitching coach Mike Pearce 51.

He also hired 4 main scouts for the team. He hired Scouting President, Reese Murphy, 38, who will be the head scout of the team. He hired 3 other scouts who are to assemble teams of other scouts. Eastern scout, Tyler Ludwick, 62, western scout, Shawn Gentry 42, and international scout, Cody Ledger, 31.

GM and Manager Meeting - April 30, 2008

Logan (GM): So Tim, what are our strong points?

Tim (Manager): Well on offense, our outfield is looking very strong with all of the, batting above .300. Our infield is rather stinky. No one on the infield has batted above .270 except for catcher, Roy Sullivan, if you want to call him part of the infield.

Logan: What do we need to consider on O for the upcoming draft?

Tim: We need middle infielders bad! Kakuta is hitting .227 and Ulloa is batting .253.

Logan: How about pitching?

Tim: With the newly called up Enochs (84-88 R E Control, C Stamina, D Slider, C Curveball) replacing injury-prone Borkowski, it'll be fun to see him pitch.

Logan: How's the 6-man rotation looking?

Tim: Good! Except Stark and Mallett aren't getting enough starts like this. They're ready and recovered but the rest isn't.

Logan: If we went to a 5-man, who would we drop?

Tim: Either Brunet or Griffiths. Brunet is sadly sporting a 7.25 ERA, and Griffiths' is 4.30. I know Brunet has solid potential, but maybe not in the starting role.

Logan: Thats all I wanted, thanks for the time.

GM and Manager meeting

Logan: What talent are we looking for in the draft?

Tim: I think we need an anchorman for the rotation, and a second baseman.

Logan: Why an anchorman?

Tim: Well, we only have a few starters looking good. Stark and Mallett, obviously, but Melendez is looking decent as well. Nomo needs to pick up the slack, but he'll retire soon and we'll most likely lose him in free agency. Griffiths is solid, and Brunet hasn't looked well. If we can get the perfect star with the first pick, we're set.

Logan: What are our options at second?

Tim: We currently have Kakuta there but he hasn't been good this year. We're thinking about converting both Sandberg (FCFDFE) and AAA prospect Sedlacek (FCFDFD) to second next year.

Logan: What about trading?

Tim: I'm specifically looking at Mariners 2B Jose Lopez (DDBEDD). he's got solid speed and a good bat, he'd be perfect in the leadoff role.

Logan: I'll look into that if we can't get anything in the draft.

I hope you guys get a 2B deal done. Trading for young players is one of my favorite parts of season mode.

DECLINED

Even though Schroeder could fill up the hole in the pen, we'd like to keep Sedlacek because he's a nice prospect. I'll think about making a counteroffer though.
