It wasn't easy but the Stampede finally managed to win the series in 5 games, Tito Makani pitched lights out for 5 innings giving up just 1 earned run on 5 hits and striking out 5, but the story of the series was back up 2B/SS Jinya Kishi who hit .700 in the series with one double, 3 RBI's, 1 run scored, and 1 stolen base. Anthony Gallagher also had a very productive series going 7-21 at the plate with 2 doubles, 2 home runs, 3 RBI's, with 3 runs scored, and 2 SO's. The Stampede will now face the Memphis Bees in the NLCS.

The Stampede lost a heartbreaking game 5 in extra innings, In the bottom of the 9th with 1 out, Woodrow Cruise got a fastball down the middle with the game tied and sent it soaring to deep center field, backing up the center fielder to the wall, the crowd was ready to go nuts with a trip to the world series at stake but the ball fell a foot short of being a home run and right into the center fielders glove, at that moment you could see the faces of the Stampede's players change and they looked defeated. Woodrow Cruise said after the game that "after that play everyone just fell silent, nobody said anything, i've never heard this stadium that quiet." The Bees tore up the Stampede's pitching staff today as every pitcher that entered the game gave up at least one hit. The Memphis Bees have all the momentum has the series heads back to their home stadium and powerful left handed pitcher Dontrelle Willis who has dominated Oklahoma City this season is planned to be the starter for game 6.

The Fresno Phoenix beat the Louisville Bobcats in 5 games to advance to the first ever SMLB World Series.

Oklahoma City just couldn't get their bats going against the strong pitching from the Memphis Bees and they end up dropping game 6 and will now play their 2nd elimination game in this years postseason. Steve Screws will likely get the start for game 7 with a trip to the World Series on the line.

THEY FINALLY DID IT! The Oklahoma City Stampede have finally made it to the first ever SMLB World Series by beating the Memphis Bees 5-1 in game 7 of the NLCS. The Stampede used a brilliant pitching performance by Steve Screws to finish off the pesky Bees of Memphis. Screws pitched 8 solid innings giving up just 1 earned run on 6 hits and fanning 9 Memphis batters. Anthony Gallagher also came up big going 2-4 with 1 double, 1 home run, and 2 RBI's. Steve Screws was named player of the series due to his clutch performance in game 7.
