@ Dbacks L 0-1 @ Astros W 4-1- Vincent had a perfect game broken up in the 7th @ Astros L 4-5 vs Giants L 2-4 vs Giants L 1-3 vs Dbacks L 5-8 F/18- Lost on 8 un answered runs vs Dbacks W 3-0 vs Dbacks W 7-0 @ Phillies W 7-4 So as we are nearing the end of the month we are starting to pick up some wins. |

Tonight the Padres will play the Phillies at Citizens Bank Park. Stults will start on the hill as the Padres are on a 3 game win streak as this will be the last game of the month for the Padres. In the 1st Solarte hits a RBI single to take a 1-0 lead. In the 3rd Solarte hit a RBI double, but got thrown out going to third. Then Seth Smith hit a homerun to make it 4-1. Once again the Phillies hit a homerun to make it 4-2. Another homerun by the Phillies made it a 4-3 lead. Once again the Phillies hit a homerun and tied it up at 4. As Andy watched the Phillies hit 3 homeruns he started throwing chairs in the club house and repeatedly swore. In the 5th Cabrera hit a 2 run homerun to give the Padres a 6-4 lead. Will Venable hit a RBI double, just after Alonso hit a RBI double to make it 8-4. Then Cabrera hit a RBI single. Smith hit a RBI single to make it 10-4. Almonte hit an RBI single and it looks like the Phillies won’t come back. The final score of the game was 12-4 Padres. my next post will be the monthly rap up. |

At the end of May the Padres are 10-18 and in last place. The team leader in average is Solarte-.327 The team leader in hits is Venable-36 The team leader in homeruns is Venable-3 The team leader in stolen bases is Venable and Almonte-4 The team leader in ERA is Torres-1.23 The team leader in wins is Ross, Kennedy, and Stults-2 Now at the beginning of May the padres will try to get a winning record to move out of last place. |

Today the Padres will play the Rockies at home in Petco Park. Ian Kennedy will pitch. Early in the 1st Josh Hamilton hit a 2 RBI double. Later in the 7th Gyorko hits a RBI single then gets thrown out going to second. In the 8th Venable gets in a run down and trucks over the pitcher to score. In the 9th the Rockies hit a homerun To cut the lead to 3. The Padres win the game 4-1. |

Its not over, but we are still not out of the playoff race... we are only like 10 GB of 1st place
