Detroit rallied back, scoring four, and making it 7-5. Daiki Hirayama wouldn't let a comeback happen, and hit another homer, making it 9-5. Chicago put up 4 more, taking a 13-5 lead. Detroit responded by scoring 4 in the sixth. Chicago responded by scoring 2 via a Joe Crede single. Detroit started inning #7 by scoring two runs. Chicago matched on a 2 run shot by Paul Konerko. Detroit's offense didn't stop, and scored 2 more runs in the 8th, making it 17-13 Chicago. Surprisingly, there were no more runs scored, and the Sox won 17-13.
