Often, with these pitchers, there's not much you can do. But, I haven't found hitting to be difficult, at least not yet...

Agreed. Still, when I select my dream draft (I force myself to only pick graybars for the 1st several rounds) and go through the midyear league draft, I focus on position players because in later seasons, even if I'm picking towards the end, I can get a good pitcher with future starting potential if I use my 1st pick, and a decent reliever with my 2nd. The annual draft picking rarely offer more than 6 or 7 solid position players.

Sorry to bump a dead thread, but I had way too much time on my hands the last few weeks, and really went *(censored)* with this method of making a team. I am not planning on using this for the projece, mainly the impetus was to use it to get pictures for the Rainbow Beach 3D Model project. I did the whole reloading thing (way, way, way, way) more times than officially recommended, and ended up with this team (which the abilities are slightly modified on a few players because of random stat increases while either S/L'ing Season Mode practice abilities or other occurrences):

ayyyyyy my old challenge~! its never a dead thread

thats a poopload of Forkballs you got there. in MLB you have 9 with, 3 without?

what pitches does fukuda in AAA have?

i love this challenge and still thinking about booting up the Wii to play it now and then. You really did a lot of loading to get the best team tho

Thanks!

Yeah, there are a lot of forkballs there, mostly because it's technically MLBPP's "default" pitch for that direction - surprisingly not the changeup.

I didn't list any pitches for Fukuda because all he has is a fastball. That's it. If I play a season, I may build that up and turn him into a Chapman-type, with *maybe* a secondary pitch.

I did a whole lot of loading, and probably spent waaaaaay too much time for my own good on it, but damn it was worth it. Also, finding good catchers with Trash Talk is impossible - next best thing? Start a season and try to teach it to someone in Practice! lol
