Trying to figure out what Richard should look like as I finish him in success mode...any input or ideas are appreciated.

Here's what I am getting from pitch f/x:
Fastball speed: 93 or 94 max (he sits around 90-91)
2-seamer (lvl 2), the pitch he throws most often, from 2011 on, and the most valuable
Slider (lvl 2 or 3), his biggest secondary pitch
Change (lvl 2), his other big secondary pitch around 15-20% of the time
Curve (1), single-digits percentage
Cutter (1), used it in 2011 but not since?

can't avoid 4 versus lefties, already got it
he has 1 homer and a .118 average, so not a ton of spots to spend in batting
possibly GB pitcher? 49% GB rate, sort of his bread and butter

One thing for sure - he should NOT be good...he's replacement level from what i can see. ERA- is always over 100, which is bad. 4.33 career ERA, 1.40 career WHIP...he should be very hittable, and should walk 3 per 9 innings (impossible in this game but oh well). Thus I will try to avoid blue abilities, and keep all his pitches to low levels - probably all 2 and under.

None of the breaking balls are high level, so it should be good

He averages around 6 and two-third inning a start....just 3 career CGs....so stamina around what, 120? aaronater what's the formula for that?

and if he walks over 3 guys per 9 innings (2 guys a start) whats that control like? C?

3 walks per 9, I would give him D control. Haven't really worked out a formula for stamina yet, but I would say about 140 should be good

robhallet had Richard with a slow curve, split and SIFB. the SIFB I can understand since his fastball has lateral movement. From the velocity his curve is just normal (76 mph), and the split I don't get. No 2-seamer, wow.

EricDavis44 also assigned Richard a few vertical pitches, in a FOSH and a V-SLD. I don't like either, so I'll stick with change. He did have the level 1 cutter and level 2 2SFB, so we're good there.

EricDavis44 gave Richard 94 mph top speed. robhallet was at 95. I'll go with 94. Hallett also gave him higher stamina (160) than I would. Control of 129 is fine to target though. If I get to D/C range in either I'll probably stop there.

so:
top speed 94
stamina ~140ish
control ~129ish
2SFB 2
SLD 2
CUT 1
CB 1
CHG 1

and vs lefty 4, ugh

I would have given him A stamina if he averages 6.2 innings. In PP, people with B stamina normally star to get tired around the fourth inning or so unless they're throwing a no-no.

I can usually get guys with A stamina to the 8th inning or further in season mode..and that's when fielding myself, so one terrible fielding blunder per inning, on average. If I am facing a guy with A stamina, screw it, its a CG almost every time, unless I score 6 runs by the 5th or 6th.

I don't even know where 140 stamina gets to (C? B?) so I'll play it by ear. I want him to be a functional starter, but CGs should be rare/impossible for him.
