Next up on the list, a righty RP that debuted in 2008, Sergio Romo. What a dominant reliever he's been...and yet he didn't debut til he was 25?? Man what a waste!

A user named test99 posted a PS2 version of Romo with the following:
Quote:
Ctrl 151, Stam 107, 93mph top speed, 2SFB 2, SLD 7, Vs LH Batter 4, Gd Pickoff, Gd Reflexes

Wikipedia:
Quote:
With a low-three quarters delivery Romo features three pitches: a slider that sits 75-79 mph which he uses against right handed batters, a two seam fastball sitting 88-90, and a change up which he uses against left handed hitters, sitting 80-83.

All over the place. Not a lot of help really. So here's what I am thinking:
Top Speed: technically he hit 95.2mph back in 2011, but the rest of the time he seems to peak around 93mph. I'd probably go 93, maaaaaybe 94.
Ctrl: he walks guys at a 1.8 BB/9 clip, so 150-160 range
Stam: he started out as a starter in 2005-2006, but that ended fast. Really he should be in the 60-70 range I'd say.
SLD 5
SIFB 2-3?
CH 1-3?
CB 1 (only threw it for 2 or 3 years, but its there)

Blues should be sprinkled in to reflect his greatness...not sure what tho, so I'll dig through scouting reports. 10 Ks per 9IP, not quite Dr K levels? Hmm. Spin or Delivery are all I can think about.
Flyball P would work, again can't get it tho so pffff

I'd definitely agree with Control being in the B range.
I think Romo's pitched more than 1 inning a handful of times, but not enough, IMO, to warrant a D. Maybe a fringe E-D rating.
I agree with Spin 4, others will probably have to chime in with abilities. Good start.

I landed Consistency 2 in the first few months, i think it was the Dr Thief. I might keep that...Romo did meltdown and lose the closer role this year after all. And a red may help offset the crazy slider and a few blues like Spin and W/RISP.

No Dr. K for you tho?

Yeah I never really could decide. I just wasn't convinced enough by his SO/9 rate to clearly give him Dr K, so I never gave it to him. I thought the abilities etc were enough.

Done - couldn't get control quite where I wanted, too few mentality points. Everything else is spot on to what I wanted though. DOB is right too!
