With 782 career innings pitched since his 2009 debut, Derek Holland tops the list of created players we need. Pretty good pitcher, lost some time due to injury, was used as a reliever early on. Since he is a lefty, I've been avoiding him, since it will be easier to create him and not worry about Vs. Lefty 4. Someone else can certainly grab him, but if not, here's what I'm looking at:

ZeroGibson had this:
Quote:
SP Derek Holland (97 CA 3SLD 3CB 4CHG)

Acemaker noted Holland as having one of the only V-SLD in MLB.
EricDavis had this in 2011:
Quote:
Derek Holland , * , TEX , 23 , 4 , SP , SP , 136 , 124 , Fastball Life 4, Gd Pickoff, Fat Pitch Recovery,

and in 2012:
Quote:
P , 2 , Derek Holland , Holland , Derek , * , TEX , P , SP , 25 , 135 , 155 , , , , , poise2 , fblife4 , , rel4 , rec4 , , fat , , , , , , pick , , lucky , , , , , , , 34 , 97 , 4SFB , , CHG , 2 , V-SLD , 2 , CB , 1 , , , ,
Derek Holland , L , 34 , 97 , 4SFB , x , 65% , -.2
Derek Holland , L , 34 , 97 , CHG , 2 , 13% , -.2
Derek Holland , L , 34 , 97 , V-SLD , 2 , 13% , -.2
Derek Holland , L , 34 , 97 , CB , 1 , 9% , -.2

Top Speed: 97.5 is his highest recorded, but he sits around 93.3, so 97 works.
Control: 135 (2.8 BB/9, well known playoff meltdown)
Stamina: ~150 (6.45 IP per start)
Pitch types (in order of frequency):
2SFB 1-2 (thrown most often after the 4SFB - Fangraphs has it as a Sinker, but it averages 93mph and has just a bit more movement than the 4-seamer...I think it has to be 2SFB)
V-SLD 1-2 (his slider is actually slower than his change up on average, not much movement tho)
CHG 2-3
CB 1 (its crazy how little movement the CB has)
KNCB 1 (if time allows)

Special abilities:
Recovery 4 is fine
Vs Lefty 4 is fine
Good Pickoff maybe
Fastball Life 4 maybe
Fat Pitch is possible, 1.2 HR/9
Poise 2 would be great, if gettable??

Got him, pretty much what I wanted - 97mph and good control/stamina, but not too many blues and mostly lvl 1 pitches so he won't dominate too badly.

Lefties are SOOO easy when you don't have to worry about Vs Lefty 4!!
