I've made 10 or so straight pitchers, so time to relax and do an easy hitter. Hundley debuted in July 2008, and has racked up 1755 at-bats since - 6th on my list in total appearances without being made, and first for those debuting in 2008. So he gets made!

ZeroGibson had a log with this:

EricDavis listed 2011 stats as:
Quote:
o Nick Hundley 28 SD 2 > 3 6 128 7 10 9 9 > 2 > > > > > > > > > > > > Gd_IF_HTR Running_2

and 2013 hitter stats as:
Quote:
Nick Hundley , xx , 3 , 6 , 90 , 106 , 7 , Clutch2 , vL2 , , , GdIFHtr , , , , , , , , PrSmBall , GdEye

uniform #4 (worn for 6 seasons with Padres)
bats/throws R/R
DOB 9/8/83, age 24 in 2007
TRJ: 2-3?
Contact: 6 (career .238 hitter)
Power: 115-130 (HR rate 2.6%, ISO .148, AB/HR 34.7)
Speed: 7
Arm: 9-10 (27% career CS rate, so nothing great)
Fld: 10-11 (average all around)
E Res: 9 (just a hair below average)

Anything else Hundley screams out as deserving or needing?

Looks good, I would definitely stay with D on arm as hes been almost exactly average. I would also go lower on speed down to a 6, as he has decent Spd scores but is a dreadful baserunner.

So his strikeout percentage is 24.4% - is that timely whiff range? I'm surprised EricDavis didn't put that in.

I might be able to finish him without doing the steakhouse at all! That would be a first.

No, it's close but not quite timely whiff

Ok. Yeah I see Adam Dunn around 28%, mark Reynolds at 31%, Russell branyan even higher. Hundleys not so bad I guess.

What's a good cutoff? 27%? 28%?

Yeah, 27% is a good cutoff imo

Ok so I have
Trj 2
Con 5
Pow 116
SPd 6
Arm 9
Fld 10
E res 9
Good IF hitter
Tough runner
Good bunt

And scouting is about to pass. I'm in jan yr 2. Any last min changes?

I'm wondering about bumping the contact up to 6 (E) - just seems high for his .238 avg. should I go with TRJ 3 and leave contact at 5?

Jus got base running 2!!! Nailed it. Might bump his speed once more now to get it accurate, ill decide T the end.

Those leftover points can be so tempting at times, can't they? There's so many of them, you want to use them, but you can't because you have a plan. It kinda stinks sometimes.
