Posting:

* Individual players should be in their own thread, with the full name of the player and position(s) in the title. Don't add superlatives or any other shout outs to it... we will see your guys...
* If you post a team or a set of players, add players by editing your starting post so they're all in the same post. A bump to announce the edit is appropriate.
* Posting images are fine, provided they are small in dimension and data. 800x600 and ~50Kb should be the biggest you can post inline (using the [IMG] tag), anything larger, post a link or a clickable thumbnail instead.
* If you have wiki rights, add your player(s) and team(s) there as well!

My camera is broken at the moment, but going off my memory card this is how he was;

Rafael Montero

R/R
Top Speed 95
Control 123
Stamina 122

Pitches;
2SFB 1
Slider 3
Slurve 1
CHG 2

Abilities
Release 2
Spin 2
I did give him safe pitch only because he had low homer totals at the time...

Thanks Rob! If you could post his password or any other mets you have that would be great, as I am trying to get a PS3 that is backwards compatible with PS2 games, so I can have a nextgen console (that's not really next gen anymore) that can play Power Pros!

Ok, I'm going to start him soon and hopefully (most likely) finish him today. Here are my final projections:
Top Speed 95
Control 120-135
Stamina 111-125
Pitches
Sinker (In place of 2SFB) 1
Slider 2-3
CHG 2
MAYBE Slurve or H-SLD 1 (If I have bonus points left over)
Abilities
Release 2
Spin 2 (How do you get a decrease in spin? It does not say so on the Wiki)
Recovery 4
As I don't think there's a way to get VS LH BATTER 2, (at least not on wiki) I'll leave it at 3.

Any last opinions before I start in about half an hour or so?

Do not ever substitute a SNK for a 2SFB, the SNK comes in 13mph slower than the 2SFB, in this case it would top out at 79mph, while Montero's slowest pitch last year, a slider, was barely below 79 (78.6). His 2SFB sits around 91-92.

Ok, thanks for the tip, I just learned something new! So, I'm changing sinker to a 2SFB. Any other things to add?

Yeah I got that wrong when I started....pitchers had sinkers, I saw the SNK type, I just married them up. Only after months/years of seeing that weird SNK come in as a reverse fastball did I look into 2SFB and SIFB as the correct 'sinker' equivalents.

on Montero, pitchf/x shows more horizontal movement (-8.1) to vertical movement (4.4) by a pretty wide margin. When vertical is 2+ points more than vertical, I go with SIFB instead of 2SFB. they each move similarly (down and away) but SIFB is more horizontal, 2SFB more vertical.

AgentP where do you cutoff and go SIFB instead of 2SFB?

I'm just going to go with a 2SFB for now

I don't really have set formulas for anything but if there's a big enough split between Xmov/Zmov then I base it according to that. If the pitcher throws sidearm it's probably a SIFB, if he throws overhand/submarine it's probably a 2SFB. 3-quarters guys can go either way. Learned this from personal experience a couple years ago (before changing my pitching style completely) - when I wound up and threw overhand, it moved more vertically, like a 2SFB; when I threw from the stretch, at more of a three-quarters angle, it moved horizontally more, like a SIFB. And sidearm guys tend to get a lot more horizontal movement than vertical just based on the arm angle alone.

Here he is! I think I did very well on him, maybe I could've gotten stamina higher, but as I've said, he doesn't pitch that far into games. Also, I got LH batter 4. Whatever. Also, I could not get Release 2 from Patty, I S/L'd like 10 times but didn't get it. I got Poise 4 as I pitched a shutout in the Sittch Game. I even got Top Speed to 96! ENJOY!!!!
