I'm in march of year 3. Not going as I had hoped. I've met the stamina, but a dozen or so points off on Control (hoping for the 140-45 range). Top speed is off by 11, but I think I can do it. If I do 1 control and 1 mph a week, plus the games, I'll make it. I'm probably going to need the Superstar game, though. Reyes also shut out the Champion Rings, ending the game with a K when there were runners at the corners with a slim 1-0 lead.

I looked up Reyes, and his profile picture on the Beaver's website shows him with short, but visible hair, and decent-length sideburns, which is an option for the appearance. I found his B-day to be 12/7, but his eyes seem brown.

Also, from this quote, I'll see if I have the ability to add a level 3/4 slider:

Quote:
his slider was tight. It is a good pitch.

The slider may be not possible for me. I took it easy on the breaking balls early on because I only expected the first two pitches (CB and CHG). I'll see what I can do. I'll only do it if I can get at least a level 3.

If you're still in March year 3, you have time to reload for Dr. Goodjob. You could do it in back to back weeks - probably a bit painful in terms of reload time, but it will get you where you're wanting to be. Since that would take care of your STAM and CTRL (+15 to each) along with a +3 to the Top SPD, you'll buy back a number of weeks to throw in a SLD or refine any other areas.

Don't worry, I got it now. I completely underestimated the points I get in games. Just finished the game before the C-Rings in Year 3. Sitting at 145 (exactly mid-C) control, 190 stamina, all 9 requested abilities, level 4 CHG and CB, level 3 SLD, 95 mph. After the championship, game the top speed and slider will easily go up one more, reaching the goal. Then I have the weeks before and then the Superstar game. I think I'll use the points to add to his E Res and Arm strength.

Born Dec-7, age 20.

Pitched a complete game win against Superstars, No-Hitter against Commanders, 1-run complete game against Champion Rings, 2-run complete game against Wild Pigs, and two complete games (1 run and 0 runs) against the World Gathering. Accurate depicts the College World Series MVP.

Also had him in Seattle uniform, because 1: That's Ace11's favorite team, and 2: it's the closest team to his college at Oregon State. Wouldn't it be great if he was also drafted by them. I haven't heard much about him in terms of the 2008 draft. He's a sophomore, so maybe he'll only have eligibility as a junior? I've heard of "draft-eligible sophomores", so I guess that means there are also "draft-ineligible sophomores?"

nice man thanks! i heard about the shooting incident when it happened, i couldn't believe it. they think it was because he used to room with mitch cannum(don't know if that's spelled right) who was the beaver captian and a great leader. i think he kept reyes out of trouble.

as far as seattle drafting him, that would be great he would probably be a solid mlb starter, espically if he developed his pitches even more. now if only they had drafted tim lincecum when they had the chance...

Yeah, Brandon Morrow hasn't exactly been great. Phillipe Aumont? Sounds intriguing, but so do Rick Porcello, Matt Harvey, and Andrew Brackman - all guys Seattle and all the other teams passed on.

I'm clueless on his draft status, though. Never heard of him until now.

I never pay much attention to college anything other than the BCS Championship and the NCAAB Tourney. Nothing for Baseball. All I know is that quite a few years back, Texas pitcher J.B. Cox was a star close in the CWS. I really only pay attention to college sports to know about the draft prospects. And even then, it's only reading on the internet, rarely watching games.

i like watching baseball no matter what level or who's playing, i learn about lots of players that way.

the draft in baseball is different from the draft in any other sport. there have been hundreds of first round picks who never panned out and then there are guys like andy pettite who was a 22 round pick

I like the baseball and basketball drafts for different reasons. For baseball, the money involved is the big reason why most good players drop down. Being a fan of a team who usually drafts near-last and has a lot of resources ($$$), it's always good to see Andrew Brackman, Joba Chamberlain, and the like fall down the draft boards.

As for basketball, I enjoy the constant rumors of trading picks and the anticipation of the lottery.

I was spoiled because from '86-'90 (my high school years) I lived in Omaha and from '90-'94 I used to visit friends during the summer (moved to Missouri for college). Omaha of course is where the College World Series is held. Players on local high school teams were able to buy pass books to the CWS for $5, which included day passes for every day of the CWS other than the Saturday of the championship game. The first few days were the best, when they'd have 4 games and you could just sit there all day watching games. I got to see a lot of future major leaguers play at the CWS. Haven't been to a CWS since about '96 though I guess, and that last year was just one day's worth.
