Requests:
These rules are subject to change at any time. Remember, custom players take time to make just right.

* One player request per person at a time. No exceptions. Post ALL of the required information (name, position, appearance) and as much desired info as possible (desired abilities, stat levels).
* When your request is fulfilled, edit the title of the first post to say so. Make a link to the post if the completion post is deep in the thread.
* Wait a week before bumping an un-answered request. The few of us who are kind enough to offer our services are more than likely busy with other requests or our own players.

As a new user here, I'd like to say that I appreciate how much work has been put into by the people here to put in players that weren't in the game to start off. One user in particular being Alloutwar for compiling the list of "Real-Life Rejects" to make them easier to find.

(Also as a new user, I'd like to apologize ahead of time for any mistakes I make when writing this.. )

I've been updating rosters for a few years now and they are pretty much up to date, but some spots are not filled.
One of them is the Indians catcher. Right now Mike Redmond is playing there because none of the Indians catchers have been created by myself or the people here.

And since Carlos Santana is the most known Indians catcher and the cornerstone of the franchise, I'd like him to be created if someone can.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So I'm not really familiar with the way you guys translate ratings into MLBPP, but I usually resort to MLB2K to get a general idea of how some players should be rated. It's probably wrong, but I go with a player rating system as such:

Ex: Run spd.

MLB 2K run spd: 65, MLB PP run spd: 8 or 9 (D)
MLB 2K run spd: 70, MLB PP run spd: 9 or 10 (C)
MLB 2K run spd: 75, MLB PP run spd: 10 or 11 (C)
MLB 2K run spd: 80, MLB PP run spd: 11 (C)
MLB 2K run spd: 85, MLB PP run spd: 12 or 13 (B)

Does that make sense? I don't want to feel stupid.

And so, this is how I think Carlos would be rated via my system (in parentheses is Carlos's MLB2K stats):

3 TRJ.
high D contact (69 ovr.)
mid C power (73 ovr.)
low D run spd. (71 ovr.)
high C-high B arm str. (87 arm str.)
high B-low A? fld. (82 catching, 85 throwing acc.,79 fld. range)
high C-high B? e res. (84 fld. anticipation as well as fld. stats)
Could be a bit overrated.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The rest, besides attributes:

#41 Carlos Santana
4/8/86
B-S,T-R
Face 5 (Skin Color 4)
Hair 20 (Black - Color 9)
Facial Hair - Type 8 (Black - Color 9)
Brown eyes
Team color wristbands on each wrist (Indians - Dark Blue?)
Brown mitt
Dark yellow bat (Bat 1?)
VMart stance (Perfect for him)
1B-C
Gd. Block/Gd. Catcher, Gd. Eye

I'm not sure on any other abilities for him, but I think the appearance and equipment, etc. is spot on.

Tell me what you guys think, and if someone could complete him, it would be much appreciated. :)

Thanks.

When I play MLB the Show, I assume 75 is average for a major league starter, so I'd say 75 is a 9. And I think his fielding should be a low B, because if 82 is a low A, then what's 99? Yeah, and I think definitely give him B arm strength.

Alright, that's reasonable. I'd actually go 89 for Low A to 90-higher being High-A. Thanks for the response.

Thanks. It doesn't have to be exact, because I'd rather him be underrated than overrated.

Do you have an idea of abilities to give him other then the ones I said?

Do you think the rest of the ratings are good? It'd be nice to know so I have a better idea of ratings if/when I request more players.

Um, I guess if I were to make a list like yours (with MLB the Show ratings, so I don't know if it makes a difference) it would be:

Contact <25 - 1(G)
Contact 25-35 - 2(G)
Contact 35-45 - 3(G)
Contact 45-50 - 4(F)
Contact 50-55 - 5(F)
Contact 55-60 - 6(E)
Contact 60-65 - 7(E)
Contact 65-70 - 8(D)
Contact 70-75 - 9(D)
Contact 75-80 - 10(C)
Contact 80-85 - 11(C)
Contact 85-90 - 12(B)
Contact 90-93 - 13(B)
Contact 93-97 - 14(A)
Contact 97-100 - 15(A)

When a guy's on the border between two, I guess just decide on your own.

If you could, maybe Posey, or one of these guys:

Jay Bruce, Tommy Hanson, Alcides Escobar, Matt LaPorta, Chris Johnson, Jhoulys Chacin, Mat Latos, Nick Hundley, Will Venable, Daniel Hudson, Trevor Cahill, some of the Orioles' young SP (Arrieta, Bergesen), Drew Stubbs.

Do you think you'll already know the bats/throws, equipment, etc.?

Having a look in password exchange because I think Brad Bergessen was done for the Wii and drew Stubbs may have been as well. For those PS2 people after I've done redfans player I'll post my Eric Hosmer and J.D. Martinez
