That's what I was thinking.

Using the League set-up somehow.

Naw, you'd be going @.@ after going down in 3 pitches. :P
I don't pitch all strike zone either, so prepare for a bean ball occasionally.

I've heard of people using the Wii to search the internet, with capabilities similar to an iPod touch.

How is this done?

(mainly asking mrsims who introduced me to this idea)

You need to update your Wii (easiest way is to rent a brand new game.) and have it hooked up to a broadband connection. It should have an Internet Browser option on the opening menu once you've done both.

Wii has an internet channel. Costs 500 points (so not worth my $$$).

There is a way to have your Miis hang out with each other in the Mii Channel and the Check Mii Out channel (both free, just download from the shop).

It was free to download the internet channel for the first 6 or 7 months after the Wii launch. Now it costs 500 pts ($5). The only thing you need after that is your internet connection. You pay for that of course, but nothing else to Nintendo. And I'm pretty sure that if you connect your Wii to your internet connection it will automatically update; no need to rent any new games.

i have the internet, (Guitar Hero Wi-Fi worked).

How do make the payment?

Is it worth it?

How convenient/inconvenient?

How do you type?

It definitely is NOT worth it if you already have regular access to the internet, as you seem to have. Its a pain in the a$$ to type; basically a "virtual keyboard" pops on the screen and you hunt and peck with your wiimote. It really slows you down and can be fairly frustrating for someone like myself who can normally type fairly fast (I'm begging you Nintendo... make a keyboard attachment!!!). For me it was a matter of not having a computer right now. If you're still interested I'll go ahead and lay out what you need to do, just let me know.
